The main atraction since beta in the non beta forums (here) was the proffesion of the bounty hunter and that one of the pirate, less importanse had the proffesion of the CEO of a large corporation, these proffesions are actually the ones chosen in the game box so to attrac people. Players should have been able to be Bounty hunters (police) or straight away chose to be police as a proffesion. Putting CONCORD to handle affairs was by my oppinion a big mistake, it was actually something that disheartened me for a bit as I was reading the forums before I entered beta, that CONCORD wouldnt be a part of the playerbase. As we can see now with the failed estimations about CONCORDs size and power, putting players to run this proffesion would have been much better and more exciting. I have yet to see any post on explaining why CONCORD is not consisted of players to understand their initial choices.
My 2 cents.

1 thing more, nobody hires anyone. There must be some changes in the market level and isk acquisition for this to happen, I thinkmthat it was intented too as the game was picking up more advertisement from word to mouth from beta 3 4.

Edited by: Intruders on 28/09/2003 04:37:18 Im not intending to sidetrack the specialized topic here(if I did), I primarily post to expose my ideas and because some devs might read too (regardless what some ppl say). What I saw recently and disturbed me is that althought they lowered the insurance money they made mega that is needed to construct anythink valuable as a weapon or ship, vanish. PvP is affected by every aspect of the game. Its not an easy task afterall, especially with these ups and downs..no matter how they roleplay them.
edit: P.S. I hate being used as a beta tester still..

Quote: no one hires cause they figure no one will be able to kill the people that got them "did Lord Zapp even die after the first month?"
But people can(even now if they get it straight) and must be able to hire people for many many tasks. I can trace of why this is not happening because a system of loaning items(ships weapons) and a way of conducting contracts is absolutely missing from EVE. I often hear people talking about EVE resembling RL. Well IT DOESNT, if it would, it would be a severly handicaped version of RL.

"So far, very good!"
Well..its US late night hours and Europes late morning hours yet..and its Sunday, everyone is getting up late.
I wont go through the trouble of re reading the latest CSM post but we found TomB again unaware of some more major aspects (notBlamingHim 80% rate), I want to know when he(or some other) mentioned he was not aware of the baby roid problem and when CCP catually revealed about the new future mining methods and the new distribution systems(?), if those announcements coincided.

Disbanding NPC CONCORD and..making a real CONCORD form eager to police players.
What if.. get rid of the Concord and put CFS in charge in the shoes of Concord. If CFS wants it since they seem they re acting like CONCORD and because maybe they proved a point, that players can run local security well. Its still an idea. Player behaviour (if players like it) its better if CCP tries to embed it in game. or even if CCP maintains a continuous system of open suggestions for players in hope for gradually changing EVE Online from NPC mechanics to player driven.
