I'm thinking to myself that nullsec must REALLY be boring these days if someone the caliber of Marlona Sky is taking the time to moon map entire regions.
For some stupid reason Jeff Foxworthy's 'You might be a redneck if...' comic bit began racing through my head. So I figured let's all have a little fun with it.
"If you consider 'emergent gameplay' moon mapping entire regions and posting the results on GD.....You might be a blueneck"
"If you're hot dropping a capital fleet on a kestrel.....You might be a blueneck"
"If a counter person at a store asks you what flavor donut you want and you answer 'Eve'.....You might be a blueneck"

This makes zero sense. We're talking about your nonsensical and unworkable idea that letting people "warp" to systems like this is some kind of Star Trek knockoff and how it's never been a good idea.
EVE works because despite it being a space game, people can find each other very easily because. This is primarily because of gates (where most ever combat occurs) and secondarily because of fixed (stations, planets) or easily accessible points in space (like anomalies in null sec or the various beacons/complexes in faction warfare).
Your idea would gut the EVE economy because it would make avoiding fights even easier than it is now (and it's way too easy now). You've been saying this for years but you've never thought the idea through to it's most obvious conclusions.

Some decent ideas, but 'titan bridge accuracy'? Seriously? The bridge accuracy idea has potential, but only if you expand upon it. For example, allow it to drop people into systems within X (let's say 3) jumps of the intended system, as opposed to being nothing more than creating another "warp to FC at 10" step. |

Seems to me that Marlona Sky revealed some information about an area you may be inhabiting...
To complain that a player took initiative and time to do something like this makes me think you are jealous you didn't do it or think of it first.
You jelly brah?
I give Marlona Sky a lot of credit. Many of us may find this info very useful... maybe even some of us are plotting to tear down what you may or may not have built.

Let's see what I wrote in the very first sentence of the OP...
Quote:I'm thinking to myself that nullsec must REALLY be boring these days if someone the caliber of Marlona Sky is taking the time to moon map entire regions.
Does that look like I'm complaining on what Marlona is doing? Or does it look like I'm complaining about the current state of null?
Looks like you just won the 'Dickhead of the Week' award.....Congratulations!

Let ships dial in system to system warp like they do in the usual sci-fi genre and there will be a breakout of game play never before imagined in this game. Also, if you scream in horror at the prospect of not being able to insta jump from anywhere in the universe to Jita and then back again with a freighter full of goods, you probably constitute a blue neck. |

Gates are so last decade. It's almost like somebody noticed critical smug levels and decided to castrate the capslags. It's all your fault, knobbler!

If pressing the wrong key results in a three-day long battle involving the loss of hundreds of ships and the erection of a monument, you may be a bloo neck (with a very red face.) Anyone with any sense has already left town. |
