What do you guys think, Heavy drones 5 so I can use t2 drones? Or drone interfacing 5 so they do 20% more damage?
What is the best gain for my next skill?

Damage boost on T2 Heavies is way more than the extra few percentage points you get from Interfacing 5.

Do you use heavy drones often? How often do you use light, medium, mining drones?

T2 heavy with specialisation at 4 vs T1 heavy with lvl 4 heavy drones is 35% more damage (1.25/1.2 * 1.2 * 1.08)
DI 5 compared to DI 4 is 11% increase (2/1.8)

Of course, getting both is even better ;)
Train Heavy Drones 5 first if you fly battleships more than other ship classes, otherwise go for interfacing first and get T2 heavies later

Drone Interfacing 5 will be more useful if you use various types of drones often, and it is also a pre-requesite for carriers, but if it's only heavy drones you're interested on improving, then go for T2 heavies first.

Heavy drones are worthless on a raven, 75m^3 isn't enough to take advantage of them. But if you're using heavy drones primarily it seems obvious which to go for. It seems to me that most people use medium/light drones tho for mission running... and heavy's for pvp?

I when for heaves first and think it was a good choice as 5 T2 do great damage

Heavy Drones V + Drone Interfacing IV + Drone Spec III does 14.48% more damage over Heavy Drones IV + Drone Interfacing V.

But advanced drone interfacing is out on the market and it requires drone interfacing 5...Might want to think about that...

Well, the item database is a good place to start. the skill does:
"Allows operation of drone control units. 1 extra drone control unit per level."
And a drone control unit has a fitting of:
powergrid usage 75000 MW
cpu usage 7500 tf
Would you try to fit a large gun on a frig? Equally why would you try to put a capital module on a Battleship?

advanced drone interfacing does not give you +1 extra drone per level.
It will allow you to use +1 drone control unit per level.
Drone control units give +1 extra drone. Drone control units require more powergrid than a bs can have. so thats why it only fits on capital ships. purely because of powergrid issues.
