"My word lies within all, All it requires is the breath of faith, To ignite the fire, So the lost can find their way, So the fallen can rise, To take their place as my chosen, For you are all my creation, And are all equal in my kingdom." GÇö The Apocryphon
Myth: The Apocryphon abrogates previous Scripture. Fact: The Apocryphon does not abrogate one iota of Holy Amarrian Scripture. Indeed, note the similarity of the Apocryphon to the following quotation from the canonical Scripture's Book of Trials: "All things were created by the Divine, and so the glory of our faith is inherent to us all; When thine heart shines with the Light, thou shalt know no hardship; When thine actions are in Light's name, thou art immortal." GÇö The Scriptures, Book of Trials 2:1
Myth: The Apocryphon says all races are equal. Fact: Like the canonical Scriptures, the Apocryphon divides the world into GÇ£ChosenGÇ¥ and GÇ£Not ChosenGÇ¥. The Not Chosen are called GÇ£lostGÇ¥ and GÇ£fallenGÇ¥; in order to become Chosen according to the Apocryphon, these require a GÇ£breath of faithGÇ¥. Unlike the GÇ£wordGÇ¥, the GÇ£breath of faithGÇ¥ is not present within everyone, and without it a people remains GÇ£lostGÇ¥ and GÇ£fallenGÇ¥ like the Minmatar.
All races, of course, had heard the Word of God, but only the Amarr obeyed it. Only they, because they had the GÇ£breath of faithGÇ¥ and stayed true to the faith, avoiding heresy and blasphemy, became the Chosen, according to the Scriptures: "Our Lord visited his flock and saw that all was not good. Blasphemy and heresy ruled the land. The Lord punished the sinners and drowned them in their own blood. But the people of Amarr lived righteously and in fear of God. Thus they were saved and became God's chosen." GÇö The Scriptures, Book II 2:1
Myth: The Apocryphon says all people are equal. Fact: The last two lines of the Apocryphon text proclaim nothing at odds with the strict hierarchy of man as proclaimed in the canonical Scriptures: As Garrulor rules the skies; as Frisceas rules the sea; As Emperor rules Holder; as Holder rules Serf; Yet all under Heaven serve Me; So shall Amarr rule the worlds of the Heavens. GÇö The Scriptures, Book of Reclaiming 3.19 - 3.21 That God would say, GÇ£you are all my creationGÇ¥ can hardly be considered a statement on the equality of man, for Fedos and Slaver Hound fleas are also God's creation, and surely they are not equal to holders and Emperors. That God would say, GÇ£all are equal in my kingdomGÇ¥ says nothing about those outside the kingdom, a group which must include at least all those outside the faith. Indeed, even within the faith, Sani Sabik have not held an expansive definition of equality, as nearly all such groups identify savants, persons (like myself) of superior intellect and spiritual insight meant to serve as rules and leaders. I suspect that the GÇ£kingdomGÇ¥ mentioned in the Apocryphon is actually Paradise.
Myth: It is OK to be Minmatar. Fact: As we have seen, nothing in the Apocryphon has given any hope to the Minmatar, a filthy subhuman people whom God has given over to destruction.

Tiberious Thessalonia's standard reply to anything I say or write is a request that I be run through a so-called "gauntlet". As I am not a member of the Blood Raider Covenant, I am not familiar with this practice. The implication is that it is some kind or torturous initiation rite. I request that Tiberious Thessalonia provide further explanation as to how I would benefit from this rite.
Note that while the Blood Raiders have preserved some truths about God, they have also gone astray in some areas, notably their operation of Pleasure Hubs, an affront to God's holy eyes. Thus, it cannot be assumed that any particular Blood Raider tradition would be to my spiritual benefit. |

It is Written: "Only through many hardships Is a man stripped to his very foundations And in such a state Devoid of distractions Is his soul free to soar And in this He is closest to God" - The Scriptures, Book of Missions 42:5

No.
Souls are "hideously blackened" by choices, not by birth. If this young woman truly wishes to devote herself to God, who are you to say that she will be denied?
You never have, and never will, represent the Amarr Empire, nor the true faith.

God does not care whether you are good. He cares whether you are Chosen.
Do you want to become Chosen? Seek out a Brutor, Sebiestor, or Vherokior. Strap him half-naked unto the altar of God, raise the knife over him, and with a perfectly executed splatter cut drive it through his chest. Feed from the open wound, and fill one-third of a golden vial with his blood. Repeat this process with victims of the other two bloodlines. Your golden vial is a precious symbol of the faith, to be worn always, for the blood of the Brutor gives strength, the blood of the Sebiestor gives intellect, and the blood of the Vherokior gives wisdom.

Sheesh. And all those Amarrians are saying that we are primitive savages. I think we got a textbook example of stone-age ritual practices right here, Mr. Nauplius.
I'd also suggest that eating the heart of a slain enemy gives you his courage, eating his fresh liver gives you his health, and eating his fresh brain... never mind.
But, on the other hand...
Quote:blood of the Brutor gives strength, the blood of the Sebiestor gives intellect, and the blood of the Vherokior gives wisdom. ...That might also imply that our blood has inherent magical properties, like that of certain beasts of legend! Wow. Are you sure, Mr. Nauplius, that it isn't our race that is Chosen? Or, at the very least, Blessed?

* Yes he is. How anyone can take themselves that seriously about such fallacies over their own pride goes to show how much farther people are willing to go when death is not going to affect them.
* That would be an inappropriate insult, so no. Not only is it somewhat vulgar, it does not even begin to cover how terrible heresy is.
For a better example I shall equate it to something from gallentean "sci fi", as I have heard it called, that you should be able to understand. Heresy is a virus, and Nauplius is the "Zombie" that spreads said virus (or at least attempts to). Or perhaps a better example, another monster from Gallente fiction, a "Vampire".
* As stated above, since heresy is considered a virus-equivalent in the Empire and to the faithful, telling him to "go away" would not be a good enough solution. Biomassing, yes. Simply 'going away' means he can come back. Fide et honore.

I.... I don't.... No. One of her is enough. And politely decline if she asks you over for dinner.... The lack of money is the root of all evil. |

They claim they are building some sort of Utopia. But they never smile! I've never seen one smile. And especially not Tiberious! So I am not surprised that he's constantly mean. Seems more like some sort of dysopia instead! |

I think I've seen Deadrow grin. That's almost a smile...
Well, no, fair point, kirjuun. "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new is it?
Mr. Nauplius, equality of people is a myth and misconception, nurtured by inferior subhumans like Gallenteans to subjugate other species under their rule by their propaganda.
You don't really have to look into Scriptures and other sources of transcendent, metaphysical origin, since concept of equality and inequality of peoples isn't something, that one can believe or not believe into. It is something, that can be proven with science and facts.
Every educated Caldari child will tell you that there are no peoples with equal genome, equal rights and abilities, unless they are clones. Who we are and what we can be, was dictated to us by our birth, when the nature, or the God, or scientists (who messed with our genes), programmed whom they want to see.
Let us leave facts to science, and religion for explaining things outside of it. Of course, even facts and physical laws can have metaphysical background and based on things we can't explain by science.
But would you agree, that you don't appeal to molecular structure of chopsticks when you teach how to use them to eat your food, right? Then why would you appeal to divine when you describe facts, that can be proven just by science? |

I agree that nudity should be kept to a minimum; however, without a bit of nudity during ritual sacrifice it is not possible to make accurate cuts and collect the blood. Trying to sacrifice a clothed person would just mean sloppy cuts and bloody clothes. |

Trying to sacrifice a clothed person would just mean sloppy cuts and bloody clothes. When they were taking my blood in medbay, they didn't order me to undress at all. They just grabbed my hand, applied strong smelling disinfectant and made small accurate incision to my finger and collected the blood into a test tube. See? No nudity, sloppy cuts and bloody clothes required. |
