Hi all !
I came back to Eve about 1 year and half since i quit Eve.
Two days ago when i start playing eve again, they were no pb and i could play my chara (Manji Zeytun) without any pb.
Since yesterday, when i log again, i'm forced to create a new one.
Today i finally decide to do it.
I was hoping i could have Manji on the chara selection but it does'nt work.
Is it possible to have my chara back ? Manji is 40M xp, it's not huge, but i realy don't want to restart a new chara from the beginning.

You're posting from Manji Zeytun so your account seems to be working fine. Why were you 'forced' to create a new character?

I don' t know.
I was able to play Manji 2 days ago (with all my ship, skill, evrything was normal).
I try to play yesterday and today and each time, i was forced ro creat a new chara.
Maybe it come from steam cause i get the game back via steam.
When i first started eve (2008) it was with the ccp dl portal.
I try to write a ticket on the 'escap" button during chara crea but it dosn't work at all.

As above, if you can post with it you should be able to access it in the character selection screen. CCP never delete characters so you're good on that front.
Try clearing your cache, it seems to fix most things.
Edit, ahh Steam, I'm not sure you can use it with existing accounts, as it's tied to your steamID not your eve account.]

Biomass, probably.
That "X" on the right upper side of character select can be a nuisance for some ppl, 24 hours later... boom.
My guess, didn't try it for obvious reasons.

Are you logging into the correct account? You're clearly logged into the proper account on the forums.

It was my 1st purpose but i have trouble installing eve without Steam.
I was a pb of file location.
I had check on the net and saw that some people had the same pb.
My buddy who started eve 4 days ago used steam.
I decided to do the same so i can play with him faster. |

I check on the laucher a way to change a chara name but i find nothing.
The only option was to change the account and i only have one.
And it's strange i could play to days ago since i didn't touch anything |

Log in first. Then you will get to the character selection screen.

Dowload Eve from the website, if that does not work tell us what error you get. But please : DON'T USE STEAM FOR EVE!

I have found a strange game to play my chara again :
On the laucher, i click on change user account.
Then i reenter my login/pw.
Then its ok. But it seems that i have to do that each time. |

And you answered your own question... Steam account wont be the same as your old account. So leave steam alone and play EVE the proper way. When you get addicted and need 2 chars, steam is crap anyway for playing EVE. |
