Any good? I was thinking of buying one and testing it out but not sure of a new setup, I have HAC lvl 5 so I'll have a 50% range mod, can this ship sniper? seems like the dmg might be too low.
any thoughts?

I don't feel **** for being the dumb one to refer you to a zealot, but... use a zealot with beams to snipe.

Sac is more for close in kinda stuff.
4 X Heavy Pulse II's 2 X Medium Nos
4 X Cap Rechargers
1 X MAR II 3 X Active hardners (I use kin / therm and emp) 1 X CPR.
Does decent dmg with a retard tank. For PvP you can swap out the mids for points / web but for NPC that setup works great. Dont bother with T2 pulse ammo, its not that much better than microwave / multifrequency.
Zealot 4 X HeavyBeam II
1 X MWD 2 X SB II
1 X SAR II 3 X Tracking Enhancer II 3 X Heat Sink II
Skill dependant your optimul with T2 Ammo is 100 - 115km. You can get 1700m/s out of it with the MWD but you cannot sustain it forever. Also, you either shoot or MWD... not both. If anything gets close your toast so be cautious... its a 200 mill isk ship.

The Sac should have been shifted more towards missiles and armor tanking and away from becoming a cheaper, less effective, Zealot.
Unfortunately Tux caved to the Amarr whiners who feel that having anything but lasers trained is a travesty.. so yes the Sac is worthless unless you want an Amarr HAC that is cheaper than the Zealot and not nearly as good. ------

the sac is usefull for comedy wierd arse setups. and it can take a bit of a beating while doing it.
but if i want to actually kill my opponent and do it quickly.. i just use my zealot.

Problem is making it more of a missile boat makes it a bad cerberus. I'd rather if it was going to be a bad copy of anything it'd be a bad zealot i guess.

Sorry but Jim is right. First, amarr dont have any missile boats and they really need at least one. Being stuck with EM/therm damage only sucks hard. taking slightly less damage then cerb and being able to do all damage types would be great for the sac.
Secondly, armor tank + missiles = unique since armor pg nerf. A missile sac would be something different instead of the current crappier version of the zealot. Those that want an armor tank instead of a shield tank with missiles finally have a ship for them.
Sac needs bonuses changed to 5% bonus to missile velocity, 5% bonus to armor resists, 5% bonus to missile launcher rof, 5% bonus to missile flight time.
It needs its slots changed to 5 high / 4 med / 6 low (5 missile HP/2 Turret HP)
Tux, try it. It would be great without being overpowered. _______________________________________________ Deadspace For Dead space!

On the bonuses: Unfortunately the cruiser skill bonuses have to match the bonuses from the T1 version of the ship. I.e. The sac is stuck with 5% resistances and 10% laser cap reduction from the maller. . . - - - - - - - - - -

1x10mn AB II 1x20k scram 1xweb 1xECM Multispec jammer II

Sniping: 4x Heavy Beams T2 with Aurora -> 130km+ range
2x Sensor Booster T2 2x Tracking Computer T2
2x Tracking Enhancers T2 2x Heatsink T2 / Heatsink + Damage Control 1x 800mm Plate fits with 1250/1250PG @ AWU lvl 4
Damage isn't all that great on Amor but sufficient for anti support fleetaction

I'm not attacking you, please don't be defensive, but these are relatively poor load-outs for a good HAC pilot. There are a lot of reasons, but I'll name one right off the bat: If you have to use a CPR, your skills aren't far enough along to fly a HAC effectively.

A plate on a HAC? Terrible waste of a slot.

Three well-flown inty's would own this as soon as they got inside your falloff, and without a MWD to help you keep your distance, I would only feel comfy flying this setup in a huge gang where I was unlikely to be called primary for quite some time. Edited by: SghnDubh on 24/06/2006 18:44:46 A great Sacrilege setup depends on whether you have uber missile skills or not. Let's say you don't.

Do you say this because you think using Cap Mods is bad or do you think its a waste of a tanking slot. Im saying this because your link includes a Sacrilege Setup with 3 Capacitor Rechargers.
