Worth it.
Usually have to travel to agent then to mission, pay is low, especially for the opposition.
Should I take abreak from my level for agents to do one? If you think so tell me why please.

The main advantage of storyline missions is the faction standing gain for you own and it's friendly factions. If you ever decide to work for another corporation within your faction, you will already have acess to higher level agents then you would have without a hogh faction standing.
The big disadvantage, especially for people living in empire, is that it has a huge impact on your standing to the opposing factions. After a lot of storylines, you might not be able to travel within certain areas of empire.

When you're standings are good, you'll see missions like...
A 1jump courier mission you can do in a shuttle with a 30 million implant payoff, thats worth doing...

Edited by: Atjuma Zhi on 25/06/2006 20:48:02 Im not sure but if you have enough standing you can get faction ships in exchange of some pirate tags. And of course the best way to raise your standing is the story line missions.

Correct, but "enough" is something like +9.5 ________________________________________________

storyline missions are given out every 16 regular missions, and is a quick boost to factional standing, it worth doin if u are working toward a faction standing....
the pay out of a regular storyline mission is millions
lvl 1: +1 and +2 implant 1-15mils isk lvl 2: +2 implants 15mils isk lvl 3: +2 and +3 implants 15-30mils isk lvl 4: +3 and +4 implants 30-80mils isk
eventually, u get other offers as reward, low slots implants, special items, and tags from rats in killing storylines can be used for agent offers that worth billions when u hav enuf LPs and standing.
and btw, agent offers is based on ur standing with that agent, not with the faction the agent works for....and based on ur LPs, of course.
now, u tell me if storylines worth doin or not. --------------------------------------- - yes, im a noob - yes, im a nut job - no, i dont give a .... about what u think of my noobness - now, tell me sumtime i dont know |

I once thought id figured out a sequence..
Basicaly there's 5 storyline agents... 3 times in a row i got offerd +4's and missile implants on 2 missions on the 5th agent.....
Noticed it once.... then a month or so later getting the same offer/mission on the agent again, i went and ran it quick... then quickly rammed up 15 missions on the agent... and volla another missile implant mission...did it again expecting (think it was about 2am by then) ... and while getting the same mission... it was only credits this time about.....
But it does seem to be those 2 missions (i had it again on the 3rd agent) that drop the missile implant... just not the 5th agent everytime like i first thought.
Bit of a shame. id have kept that one for myself... those implants sell 80 million plus just on buy orders
Worth it... ofc:) ______ Long ago one gorgeous night, we let the stars grow free. We let Zhuge do that once, he came back carrying a traffic cone, a forsale sign and three empty bottles of dutch lager. He also lost his Zimmer Frame... - Imaran

i've been doing missions for over a year. Storyline missions are not that lucrative and do carry some penalties. Like standing DECREASE for opposing factions. I've been skipping all mine.
I also must be working for the wrong corp and wrong agents, I rarely get good storyline offers. I think once or twice over 30-40 story line missions I've been offered an implant.

Yes, worth it for the reasons above.
You can offset the low standings with respect to unfriendly factions by taking Diplomacy; 0.4 standings improvement to unfriendly factions/level.
If a level III agent gives you a mission, it's a level III.
