After reading through these posts, I've learned that many people simply think of Sinister when they hear of the Curse Alliance.

Allow me to say what transpired from the position of our corporation.

The Knights of the Minmatar Republic are a small proud corporation. We have never been pirates or killed innocents at this time or since our beginning. We also fought our share of pirates.

We sat by and watched one region after the next be gobbled up in the hands of select corps calling themselves regional alliances. What most of the normal players don't realize is that regional alliances are much more dangerous than your normal gate camping pirates. Regional alliances close of entire sections of space to players, where as the gate campers will hold on to a gate or two. Regional alliances will demand that you get a 'pass'. Venal until recently was far too much of a flash point to go there, and the Fountain alliance charge 1 million isk a day just to hunt there. Stain on the other hand, say that you should eve mail this person or that for information on going there, but we never got a response.

For a long time now we haven't been able to go to many good npc 0.0 regions because of other regional alliances. Curse was the last decent place we could go to and enjoy the riches of of mining and npc hunting, without straying too far from a station. We have come to call Curse our home.

Little by little it became evident that the Stain Alliance was showing more interest in Curse. We saw more and more Stain Alliance (and MASS in particular) ships in Curse. It wasn't enough that MASS pilots had all of Stain to hunt in, they had to come to Curse and hunt there as well. We began to obtain information that plans to annex Curse were imminent.

We decided that enough was enough. We would not be bullied away from any of our choice spots. We were still angry from being forced to abandon the Venal region when the Venal Alliance was formed. So when the threat became imminent and the alliance a reality, we joined up to defend our home. People point to Sinister and say that we are all lawless. The fact is that CA has been under constant attack since its inception, and all combat pilots have been tasked for combat. I don't know where these claims of piracy come from. I know that none of my pilots have fired on anyone who was not a declared enemy of ours.

Since joining the alliance I have come to admire the dedication, professionalism and conviction of our new found friends. We did not enter the alliance simply to give us time (like the curse coalition did) to stab them in the back. Our word is our bond, and we will live and we will die by it. The likes of the Curse Coalition will never enjoy such a relationship with anyone else, since we all know what is the value of their word.
