[1] Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Joviah, CEO of Magrathea Heavy Industries. Many of you may know my name from in-game encounters, however I do not post on the official boards very much. This is due in-part because I choose to spend my time acting on my opinions, rather than ranting and raving about them. However, let it be known that Magrathea Heavy Industries (EMHI) has been in the Curse Region for some time now. We were part of the alliances that were there BEFORE Sinister and their friends decided to move in. When reports first began pouring in that Sinister was in town, we (being our alliance) negotiated a NAP with them, in order to give ourselves a bit of breathing room until our course of action could be chosen. This was taken fully out of context by Sinister and they began considering us a part of their "Curse Alliance," which I deeply regret. EMHI fully supports Fubie and Nexus Enterprises, as well as Tyrell and the other Curse Coalition members. This is due to our corporation standing towards piracy, and all of our members have sworn to fight pirates to the end. Our main objective at this point is to assist the alliances opposing Sinister and their friends in the clearing of pirate forces in Curse. Our secondary objective is to keep Curse a friendly area for pilots to fly in. ALL of our corporate assets will be aimed at these goals. Let me give you a bit of history regarding this, as it seems the rumors are flying fast and furious: Sinister, specifically Leyla, gives out alot of lip service about their corporation and their allies not being pirates. I assure you that they are, and always have been. They show no signs of changing their ways, and are so piratical that they even shoot their own allies. Hell, half of them don't even know who they are fighting, or why. Another point -- this past Saturday there was a meeting, chaired by Sinister, in order to organize the corporations in the alliance. They claim to have invited all CEO's to this meeting. I'm here to tell you, not all of the CEO's got an invite to that little charade. And from what I hear, the meeting was nothing but a bunch of hot-tempered little boys and girls talking about how much they wanted to kill Stain and Fountain Alliances. They also want to levy a tax on the members of the Curse Alliance based on the number of personnel in the respective corporation. This is completely unacceptable, especially when one takes Sinister's historical track record into account. Our breathing room has now paid off in full, and we now know who our friends are and are not. It also gave us some time to eat the Curse Alliance away from the inside, spreading mis-information on the inside, and providing information to Stain and Fountain when appropriate. On behalf of the Curse Coalition, I would like to say one last thing to the mambers of the Curse Alliance -- LEAVE. Leave Curse now, and we will not hunt you down. Leave Curse and go back to wherever you came from. We care not where you go, nor what happens to you. All we care about is having a safe spot for our personnel to progress through their EVE careers, and we are prepared to fight alongside the military forces that support us. I will also stress that the Coalition has been paid off by noone. Nobody has offered us anything but friendship and courteous chat since we've come forward, and even before then. Get ready Sin/RUS/Red Corsairs/m0o -- we're coming for you. Joviah Director, Cirrius Technologies |

[3] Edited by: Joviah on 30/09/2003 15:34:51 Heh, Reclaimer, do you really want to bring back ancient wars in Empire territory? A war that my corp at that time won? Interesting you should mention that -- because we entered into that war to protect a fairly young corporation we had offered our protection to. A corporation by the name of... hmm what was it again? OH YEAH! FATAL SHADOWS! That's right, I died protecting you guys. As a matter of fact, Federation of Assassins would have torn you guys to shreds if it weren't for our assistance. Why did we assist you? Because pirates moved into our territory, just like they have done now. Had you been observant enough to recognize my name, as I recognized yours, you would have realized this outcome was inevitable from the start. I mean come on, let's be honest here. Sinister and m0o are 2 of the most notorious pirate gangs in the galaxy! Oh well, the tables have turned, we are now enemies. Your friend knew about my plans long before they occured, simply because I offered him the chance to come with us. I warned him that you guys would be in danger soon, and I warned him again last night as well. Even after being called a traitor, a coward, etc etc. Blah blah -- everyone else here is being called the same things. It really doesn't phase me, and personally I don't care. The only people I answer to are my corporate employees, like Roy Haggerty. I'm not one to get into a flame war, and I won't be posting again. HOWEVER, I'm glad you brought that up Reclaimer -- thanks for reminding me and allowing me the opportunity to clear that one up for ya. Joviah Director, Cirrius Technologies |
