So, sitting at a fair distance away from the station in V2-VC2. Currently it's named (insert some nobody's name here) for huzzah president.
Why you ask?
Hans Roaming, or as I like to call him, "The Architect", ergo, without further adieu, for better or for worse, informed me that he was stepping DOWN!?!?@#@!@
GL on your future endevours, wherever.
Oh, and Admentus Cor'vion for huzzah president!

Your leadership has earned Huzzah alot of respect Hans, hopefully the next person to step up keeps flying the course you set (except maybe your choice in friends).

You did a great job, Hans. I'm not sure HF is going to find a suitable replacement, the way you managed and directed the horde of newbie players (GSY excluded) was masterful :)
Good luck. -

Speaking as a complete outsider, I feel that Hans Roaming has given Huzzah an impeccable outwards image that has given them a lot of diplomatic currency (esp when compared to entities in a similar situation with, erm, worse representation).
Here's hoping that the successor will maintain that reputation. ------------------------------------------- "Never underestimate the power of language."

Lockbait.
Secondly, while Hans has assembled a bunch of people, I will only say that 90% of Huzzah is cannon fodder. RE : Undocking in nothing but cruisers for a quasi fleet battle.
Plus, it seems like when someone springs a trap there's more panic and hiding then, "omg where my guns lets go". _______________________________________________

Good luck Hans wherever you decide to go....btw, you staying in your corp or moving somewhere else on fishing holidays or something?

As noted above Ars Caelestis is proud to put forward Dameon Drake as our candidate in the Huzzah Elections. That is one of our many campain posters and I really didn't expect to see it here. :)

If this is in reference to the saturday night/sunday morning battle in and near V2-VC2 I'd like to take a moment to point out that while we engaged a superior force, we chose to engage despite knowing the odds. We could have all docked and logged, or cowered in our POSs but chose not to. Instead we had much more fun in our attempts to zerg the hostile forces and trade cruisers for battleships.
Furthermore, if we're going to be slinging mud, what about the FIX gang that safe spotted and logged near FAT Monday morning rather then engage us? -- The Future is Exciting.

Actually, scratch that. Hans and his crew are my absolute favoritist enemies in all of the Eveverse.
I hope this move serves to make your gametime even more enjoyable.

My admiration goes out to my new comrades. We knew we were outnumbered and outgunned and yet I never heard the first suggestion that we back down from that fight.
Good fun. And good alliance. May the new leader of Huzzah carry forth this same spirit of fun and determination.

I have to admit a little confusion...
I don't see why people are stating that HF was outnumbered and outgunned during those 3 engagements. We were in V2 ofc, a home system where I would expect the majority of HF pilots would have a stock of ships at hand.
FIX gang numbers topped at about 22 pilots, while local was about 60 in total. Now not all those in local were engaged obviously, but we were most certainly equal in numbers, the logs from the battles tell the story very throughly. Plus, we lost a couple of ships each engagement, it adds up.
As for outgunned.... it's your system, you choose what ships you want to fly. That said, we had an amazing amount of fun, by the end of it, a fair number of pilots logged in nearby systems because people were so tired. (We can fight outnumbered, but when the odds begin to climb above 5:1, and you have no support, or covert ops to help balance the odds, then you're just committing suicide; that is why some pilots logged out last night from safespots).
Nothing in life is quite so sweet as the taste of payback. |
