Their carefree bloodthirsty lifestyle parallels our own so closely, whereas the greedy grasping corporate Caldari share so little in common with their fanatically religious Amarr counterparts.

So The Mittani has an article up about this, and while it's pretty narrow in scope in terms of the fights it covers, it did include the following link that covers all the kills from 07 July - present. Here's the link.
Some interesting things we can see from that link:
1. Amarrian team has fielded about 15% more pilots than the combined Minmatar / Gallente / Scope fleets. 2. In spite of the disparity in numbers, similar total ships have been fielded by both sides. 3. The Minmatar side has taken fewer total losses. Amarr has lost about 50% more in isk terms. 4. Houla has seen over 4,300 ships and almost 100 Billion ISK destroyed so far during the offensive. That's massive for "meaningless non-nullsec bloc warfare in T1 frigates trolllolololol". 5. Lowsec is where it's at for PvP. Nullbears can go back to shooting npcs and chewing on rocks for all we care. |

And believe me, it will stand.
EDIT: Also way to leave out the 40 minute cruiser brawl where Amarr lost 5 bil of their supposed 8 bil investment.lel Actually, if you look at the breakdown of the "teams", you'll see that Scope and Company are rolled in with the Minmatar and Gallente. I.e. part of the crack team of total murder machines that formed the brick wall Amarr ran into on Tuesday.
As far as that cruiser brawl... dunno why that's not included. Would have made for a far more interesting story for TMC than Kestrels dueling Punishers.

Gallente taking over command of the minmatar milita - strange at it sounds - we will have heavy fights when the gals get online in numbers. See how today battles evolve.
1. The links above conclusively show that even though Amarr is going up against Minmatar + Gallente + Scope and Crew, you still have brought more pilots than we have. 2. In spite of having fewer numbers, we're fielding as many ships, and losing fewer of them. 3. Gallente are not FCing the combined fleet with any regularity. We've introduced a few new doctrines, and while the Minmatar FCs are new to them you'll see GalMil folks step up to take the reigns for a while. 4. Gallente / Scope and Crew came down to buy the Minmatar time to sort their logistics and get up and running. Mission accomplished.
Now comes the interesting part - how long each side can sustain 10-15 billion isk in losses per day for minimal system control gains. |

But if t1 frigates work, why use more? Were not here to show off, just win. Ok crosi, that kind of sorts it out for me. Just another bunch of isk efficiency farmers :( Not true. We use the right tool for the job. Derptrons - as maligned as they are by so many - are excellent tools with a wide engagement profile, especially in fleets. If I can match the performance of your more expensive ships in a Derptron, why would I use anything more expensive?
With plex fighting in particular, more expensive ships don't generally add enough capability to offset their significantly higher cost. T2 Logi cruisers are a noteable exception, as are some EAFs and pirate/faction ships. In general though, T1 hulls are more than sufficient - especially in small and novice plexes. At that point it's a question of whether T2 fitting that ship gives enough of a marginal benefit, given your opposition and fleet size.
If you read some of the other threads, part of the issue we're facing in the Cal/Gal warzone is that GalMIl has shifted to various HAC doctrines that CalMil currently cannot match on most occasions. When the bling is justified, we break it out. If it's not, we don't. Simple as. |

MinMil might not have as much experience as we do being on the wrong end of a militia freight train, but they're learning fast. Pretty much every fleet we're in is MinMil led, and they're picking up our doctrines really damn fast.
We've bought time for MinMil to get up to speed, and that's pretty much it. |

You'd be surprised how long we can keep losing T1 ships by the bucketload. You're not even as good at keeping up constant pressure as TEST was.
So here's the pattern so far for "Burn Huola":
1. Amarr starts a massive plexing offensive, is essentially unopposed for a day. 2. Amarr forum warriors crow about how hitting XX% is the breaking point beyond which recovery is impossible. 3. Crosi gets in a Keres. 4. Rest of GalMil clones back down to Huola. 5. Minnies get their fleets rolling. 6. Amarr hits a brick wall, even with all of their various hangers on dogpiling into the system. 7. As the contested percentage steadily marches back towards zero in Amarr's strongest timezone, Amarr forum warriors continue to talk smack. 8. Huola hits stable, Gallente head back home to their hookers and blow for the weekend, Minnies throw massive rave parties with lots of drugs and techno in Huola's 24th Imperial Crusade station. 9. Late Sunday night, when all the Gallente and Minmatar are suffering from massive hangovers and unable to bear being separated from their porcelain gods, Amarr (in a jealous rage fueled by bottomless envy at the carefree orgiastic Gallente and Minmatar hedonism) begin their campaign anew. |

Zarnak Wulf wrote:Gallente simultaneously crowing while denying the importance of their assistance. Cute. Good job propping up the sick man of FW. I know that holding more than a single absolutist concept at a time in your pretty little heads is difficult for Amarrian affiliated groups, but there's really no contradiction here. Our small contingent was enough to help stop you in your tracks, and yet it still comes down to the Minmatar for the bulk of the manpower and bulk of the fighting. The fact that ya'll aren't good enough to have put them through the crucible that forged the nigh-unstoppable mighty Gallente war machine of death doom and destruction isn't exactly their fault.
And yeah - being home to a lot of farmers does terrible things to a militia. Just look at the Caldari and all the crap they've had to deal with from various nullbears coming in and using them as a cheap source of easy LPs. And its' not like we love all the Minnies - we generally gank them on sight in Cal/Gal space because they're generally there to take advantage of default overview settings to get cheap kills.
Some of them though... Smile n Wave, Iron Oxide, some others - are solid crews that we've got history with. Gallente stand with their friends, even on the other side of the map. It's part of what makes us as strong as we are.
Sucks to be you if that's not a concept you can grasp.

Cannot deny your importance as you have changed the way they fight. Zarnak's annoying and talks nothing but smack, so take that into account when digesting my earlier post.
Your crew brings it day in and day out, and you're good at what you do. As a result they get full props from our side and you get primaried on a regular basis.
And yes, us coming down and showing the Minmatar how things are done in our neck of the woods definitely changed the course of the Huola invasion, and we take full credit for that. But no amount of daytripping Gallente would make a lick of difference if the Minmatar crews who live here didn't step up to defend their homes.
And step up they most definitely did.
I've been saying for a while that the Min/Amarr WZ was fundamentally different than our own, and I think that Huola has confirmed that in a lot of ways. Hopefully the Kronos changes and the Huola-driven cross pollination of mindset and combat doctrines will make the Min/Amarr zone better from here on out.

1. Almost 3000 pilots have fought, killed, and died in Huola since 06 July. OVER 9000 ships and 1000 pods have been destroyed, for over 250 billion isk in total losses.
2. Amarr brought roughly 680 pilots, while the defending coalition of awesome has fielded about 450. Approximately 740 random neutrals, NPC corp alts, and bored nullbears (to include the obligatory PL supercaps) have seen the big red blot in space and decided to come play.
3. Defenders have lost approximately 98billion worth of ships, while the Amarrians have lost approximately 71 billion. Both sides have lost approximately 20 billion worth of pods.
4. Both the Amarrians and defenders are losing about 75-78% of the ships they field, in total. The defenders have fielded and lost higher total number of ships (5600 vs. 4700), with correspondingly higher total losses (4500 vs. 3600). This doesn't include the value or count of ships we've nicked from outside the POS shields - grand theft spaceship is still alive and well.
5. Neutrals and randoms wandering through have lost 27 billion isk, losing 646 of 1275 ships fielded.
So the Amarr, while getting more total kills and higher isk destroyed, and while enjoying the numerical advantage on top of that, have still not managed to make significant progress towards controlling the system. Props to both sides for bringing it.
Oh, and to you random bored nullbears - eff off, this is our house, you don't get to have any of this fun! |
