While surfing the net as I usually do, I regularly frequent a spoof site for final fantasy which is visited by many people on a daily basis. he is currently advertising eve on his website. here is the linky.

I've seen EVE adverts on quite a few different online comic sites for quite some time, all of which are quite popular. It's no wonder the client base is constantly growing :)

I saw Eve on Ctrl-Alt-Del and Penny Arcade, and that's what first tickled my fancy for it, I kept coming back and checking it out, and finally saw the 14-day trial on gameogre.com and can't put it down.

I saw a banner ad on my WoW guild's guild-portal.com page.
The rest, as they say, is history. |

Was either Ctrl Alt Dlt or a link from a gaming site like tentonhammer.com that did it for me, can't remember which. Seems to be going well though :)

The Eve AD on the IGN Website was the one that got me to join. There everywhere.
Btw. CTRL+ALT+DEL-online.com FTW!! "...It is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory..." |

ho barrick o/
i heard the author of ctrl alt del, tim buckley, got so many people to sign up for eve with that one newspost back in november that he was given some free time on the game as thanks >_> but whatever, thats how i and most of my friends in eve started playing :) its been interesting watching such a large group of players evolve in their own directions having started within a month of each other.
and btw, if you stare at that eve banner on 8bit or cad for long enough it shows some spiffy combat scenes :)
