El Yatta	Posted - 2006.06.26 21:30:00 - [1] Update Stuffs: 26/06/06 Thanks to Dash Ripcock and Mrissa before him, this important community resource has been going on for a long time. Now that Dash is unable to continue due to RL issues (see post 26 of the old merc thread), I will take over for the time being, and hopefully try and do as good as job! We'll be keeping the same format initially, although I will be making a few suggested changes (Capital index for one, maybe other stuff like timezone, if people feel it would help) in the future. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE MERCENARY THREAD This thread is a resource for the EVE community, to list all corporations that flag themselves as mercenaries for hire. Corps and alliances listed here should be willing and able to live the way of the hired gun, taking hard-earned ISK to rain destruction down on their client's enemies in whatever way they see fit: whether it be straight wars, infiltration, destruction of Starbases, bounty killings/assassinations, or any other combination. This list is entirely based on the corp's declaration of their own size, past contracts and abilities - I will not be passing judgement on, nor editing people's entries, so long as they stick to the relevant format, although as Dash attempted to before me, I will try and keep the list free of corps that do not take contracts, have given up on the merc way, fail to take contracts having listed themselves, or otherwise no longer befit the title of mercenary. I will attempt to contact CEO/rep/director of corps should that prove necessary. ---:::---

Size however may affect how many different contracts or jobs a merc corp can handle simultaneously, as well as issues of flexibility, mobilization, etc. Stats are taken from posts here, or, until I get a post contradicting what I have, say downward, I'll take this info from game, which of course doesn't reflect -active- member corp size. 1 = Less than 10 members 2 = 10 - 19 3 = 20 - 39 4 = 40 - 79 5 = 80 - 159 6 = 160+ members Empire?: Whether or not the mercenary force can operate in empire, and limitations if any. Also, codes for the types of contracts the corp is looking for can go here. Ex: Empire?: 0.4 and below only -or- Empire?: Yes, All (vs, bt, df) Contacts Who you gotta call to arrange a ticket (contract). Contracts: bt = Bounty on. Assination, above and beyond in-game mechanics. cd = Cadre. Training/leading client's warriors for PvP. cs = Complexes Support. Aiding the client in clearing out NPC's. df = Defending and escorting ships and resources of the client. es = Espionage. Infiltration and observation of a target corp/alliance, possibly continuing to wreak havoc from within. pv = Privateer. Enforcing of NBSI list in 0.0 space. sd = Starbase Destruction. Assault on and removal of target's POS. su = Moon survey/scanning, POS location services. vs = Versus, attacking against. Larger Associations: * = Mercenary Coalition Minimum needed to be Posted a) Corp Size Rating (this does not necessarily represent corp cotal, but can reflect operational size, ie. altheavy or sleeper heavy corps may only have a size 1 available for contract fullfillment, even if they're size 2 or 3 and so on.) b) What kinds of Jobs you take. Where you will or won't operate, and what you LIKE to get for contracts. (Most Merc's default to vs, of course, but there's a LOT of other kinds of tickets, and occasionally a ticket type a Merc corp WONT take) c) Contact Name This is essential, for this listing as its primarily for a 'for hire' listing and not a 'fame and fortune' one. Besides, in a large merc corp, you probably want an officer who specifically handles contracts, to avoid having other of your pilots unrelated to handling such things spammed by mail.
