Greets,
Just wondering how everyone feels about the new Hawk make-over. I had a bunch of them bought up some time ago and they have been sitting in hangers all over my space. Dragged one out the other day to play with it a little and was prety impressed.
Ive got two setup for different roles, and was wondering how other peeps were tweaking thiers..
This one is my favorite so far..
4 x T2 rocket launchers w/thorns
1 x sm neut
1x warp scrambler
1x lang web
1x shield boost amp
1x sm converse shield booster
2x BCU

I know allot of people are putting tech 2 medium shield extenders on their setups.

I see Hawk as a support frigate and nothing else. Not a solo ship.
Long Range Hawk:
4 Standard launchers (arba or T2), 125mm rails T2 with spike S.
1 mn AB T2, 1 named EM, 1 Med shield extender T2, 1 small shield booster T2,
2 x MAPC.
DPS isnt as good as Harpy but spam missiles at 50km.
Rocket Hawk:
4 T2 rockets, 1 Small Nos T2
1 MWD T2, 1 EM hardener T2, 7.5km warp scrambler, 1 shield booster T2
1 MAPC, 1 PDS T2 (might fit with 2 PDS T2)

i went up against that and a scorp today in my rupture , i must say its not very impressive, apart from the RoF on those rockets, and the nuet was a nos, silly setup i thought

25km on a Caracal and CNR. Should be the same with the Hawk. Only difference is if you do that on a Hawk, you will pop.

1x E5 Nos
Cat. Cold Gas MWD
Fleeting Warp Scram
Small Shield Booster T2 (gist is still kinda expensive for my taste)
Named or T2 EM Amp. w/ EM comp skills for shields
PDU T2, or T1 if you don't have the skills, BCU T2.
Works great for me, enabled me to tank a mega and a arazu while the sentery guns picked them off. (eh-hem, Franny, I'm still waiting for that damned killmail!)

A Rockethawk is great fun to fly, here is mine:
4x Tech II Rocket Launcher
1x 125mm Tech II with Thorium
1x 1MN II AB
1x Smal Shield Booster II
1x 20km Warp Scrambler
1x magnetic scattering amplifier II

I fit a kestrel with 4 rockets, t2 ab, medium extender, em hardener, mapc and pds2. And it pwns.
Despite its looks a Hawk is a T2 kessie.
So something similar would surely be cool. Extra resists, bigger shields, an extra high and mid.
At least untill short range missiles come out.

With maxed Skills you get something around 43km with javelins.
Not bad with a 2sec rof. ;)
