Ok I'm sat at work unable to get on EVE so thought it would be a good time to get some info!
I'm wanting to be a miner/hauler and just wanted some skill advice.
I'm currently training analytical mind, iron will, learning and ???? memory. Should I aim to train these skills to 4 before I start doing anything else? While I'm doing this I can take my Ibis (think thats what its called) mining. Once I've got these to level 4 what skills should I be looking at focusing on? I'll probably be sick to death of flying in my starter ship by the time I get all of my learning skills to level 4 (are their any other learning skills worth investing in?) so will be wating a new ship (possibly the bantim??)

What type of ship? And what skills does this require?

Industrial ships require racial frigate 3 and the corresponding racial industrial skill.
Mining barges need mining, astrogeology and a couple of other skills.
Look them up in the item database and check under required skills (can't check them myself either - at work).
I advise you to get into something other than the Ibis as soon as possible. Since you're planning to become a miner get a bantam, and work on your mining skills. Get tech 2 mining lasers and go for the osprey (caldari cruiser), as it will give you more options (caracal is a good ship for beginners) than jumping straight into a mining barge.
If you're planning to play this game for a while, then I advise getting all the advanced learning skills up to about 4 as soon as possible, otherwise, just mix them in with all the skills you need to have fun.

Indeed, getting yourself into a bantam (or racial equivalent) and having the skills to get a hauler should come first and then work on getting into an osprey cruiser. You'll see a significant increase in money from that point.
Skills: Caldari Frigate 4 Spaceship Command 3 Caldari Cruiser Caldari Industrial
After that, make sure you get some learning skills and mix in some mining skills.
