Edited by: DrippingCheese on 28/06/2006 13:00:43 ALIENS EXIST!!!
http://www.alienvideo.net/seti-makes-contact.php
Quote: According to Dr. Steven Greer, yes, SETI has recieved multiple exttraterrestrial signals. This news he says, is confirmed by senior employees within the SETI program.
This is what Greer had to say at a recent Exopolitics Conference:
"We have confirmation - and I'm not going to give the name yet because we are trying to coax this guy out of the closet - but one of the senior people in the SETI project, which is the Carl Sagan Search for Extraterrestrial project, has confirmed to the Disclosure Project that they have recieved multiple extraterrestrial signals," Greer said.
"but that now they are getting external human, probably NRO or NSA jamming of those signals and they are getting very frusturated. "

A known aliens-exist kook is claiming that aliens exist? Well, colour me surprised.
If the aliens were being that heavily blanked from public acknowledgement by the US government, there's 230 other governments they could contact, most of whom would make the knowledge proven and public, worldwide, in a matter of minutes. Strange how they never do. ________________________________________________

Get it ready? I've been wearing one for past 8 years, but mine is used to keep government from reading my thoughts, cause I know they're very interested in what I want to do to females from cast of Lost. Anyways, back to OP. You know that signal is just some 5 year old alien's walkie talkie. NASA isn't jamming signal, alien parents made him go to bed.

If aliens had contacted any agency of Earth, it wouldn't require a "whistleblower" to uncover it - the information would be everywhere across the globe soon after, it's human nature. __________________________________________

ET better be friendly or well armed and armored because while low tech the shotgun has been proven quite effective against aliens.

If they're more advanced than we are, I doubt they would be quick to "war" with an alien race that they could wipe out easily.
Any race with the technology to bridge interstellar distances has at a minimum fusion power and high-end fusion reaction drives. And if you have a fusion reaction drive, you can turn that drive around, point it at a planet, and wipe the entire surface of life. The efficiency of a reaction drive as an engine is directly proportional to its efficiency as a weapon.

however remember that signals mean nothing to the tech they could have. someone out there somewhere could be picking up earth radio waves, unable to decode them they wouldnt see its just an episode of i love lucy.

Any civilization with a history of cryptanalysis (which would be any technological civilization) would know when they're dealing with a message that is encoded somehow. We can receive a signal that we know nothing about and quickly infer not only that it is a signal, but usually what type of data it is supposed to represent.

Ringworld...
And for all we know we could be contacted by a peace loving race of space bunnies that don't even know what war is...
Anyhow, I'm a firm believer in the monkeys or angels hypotesis. It says that any race that developes science and technology will ultimately uplift itself beyond a material civilistation. The techological civilisation lifespan is very short in galactic term. Seriously, it's taken humans maybe 5k years (a mere eyeblink on the galactic scale) to start playing with our genes and we're probably not the smartest kids on the block. So when you go trough space you're likely to meet either monkeys or angles but not humans ------------------------ I don't believe in sigs. |

Would a technologically superior alien race need to interact with us? Would travelling technology not likely render battle over resources unneccessary? Perhaps they would be interested in observing us, but if so, would it not be best done in all quietness?
And an inferior race would not bargain with us for technology because they don't have the technology to get here. If they did, they wouldn't be inferior (we suck).
And who's to say other distant lifeforms are even vaguely similar to humans? Maybe it is physically impossible to interact. Maybe we are already being sent controlling brainwaves which we can not separate from our thoughts. Who knows.
As long as none of this is likely, none of it is hardly relevant. But we all love tinfoil, don't we? ---
