Its easy to blame a other somthing, but its the trick to prove it. Prove my arguments wrong. Give your best post! im ready for it!
Well you asked for it:
You are wrong because everybody is allowed to have more than one account.
Untill it is proven otherwise. I have proven otherwise, I said why we should remove the abilety to have more accounts in first post. Not heard a final uncounterble argument witch voids all my arguments yet.
No, you have proven that you cannot afford to have a second account, not that you are not allowed to have one. There is an important difference.
Besides, if we say no-one else can have a second account because you can't afford one, why stop there? After all, your one account gives you a massive advantage over all those people who cannot afford one account. Therefore you having one account is just as unfair to those that can't afford one account, as me having 2 is unfair to you.
Similarly, someone who can afford a faster PC has an advantage over someone who doesn't. Should we ban anyone from playing on a PC that performs better than yours?
Someone who can afford a childminder can play for longer than someone who can't, and thus has an advantage. Should we ban anyone who hires a childminder?
Eve should not, and in terms of practical application, cannot, impose restrictions that level the playing field based on RL circumstances.
You also seem to assume that having a second account is some magical passport to have things fall into your lap in Eve. It isn't. You still have to pay all the in-game running costs of each character individually (clones, ships etc), and you still have to put full effort into each account if you are going to get anything out of it. For one person to play 2 accounts simulateously at anything remotely close to the effectiveness of two seperate players requires a huge amount of effort - certainly more than twice the effort of playing a single account. There are only limited situations where this is even possible at all, and they only arise because there is so much "idle time" involved in certain aspects of the game. This is the key point that makes paying for a second account different from paying for isk - paying for isk gives you the advantage without further effort, paying for the second account gives you the oppourtunity to put more effort into the game, but you still have to put that effort in to get any benefit.
Originally by: migaaresno They are better becouse they learned the game. Everybody can learn the game.
But not everybody has the same ability to learn the game. Despite what the politically-correct brigate would have you believe, some people are more intelligent than others, and can learn faster than others. Their level of RL education will also affect their ability to learn aspects of the game. Their ability to learn the game is affected by RL factors in exactly the same way as their RL ability to afford a second account, play for longer, or any of the other factors mentioned. In fact, their RL ability to learn is likely to have a direct relation to their RL ability to afford a second account (by having a better job). ------- There is no magic Wand of Fixing, and it is not powered by forum whines. |
