I just dont get it. Ok Im on the test server with a Scorpion or a raven whichever.
I set it up for active shield tanking in a 1 on 1.
Note: All my support skills are at 4-5 except 1 cap skill thats at 2 or so.
Ive got 1-Large shield booster 2x Invul Field 2x Shield Hardeners 1x Shield Extender II and 2x 'Named' Shield Amp.
My question is...whats the point? No matter what I do I cant out-tank any ship. Now im not talking about killing him before I die, im talking about repping damage. A large shield booster does jack for me and no matter how long its on he still rips through my shields...yet everyones talking about unbreakable tanks. How?
I even tried it with 2 Large shield booster. Still didnt rep enough damage fast enough.

(B) Don't mix extenders and boosters

put in a cap injector as well as a x-large booster

For insane shield tank fit
2x T2 XL boosters, 2 Heavy electrochemical cap injectors, 1 shield boost amp, 1 em hardener, 2 invulnerability fields, 3 pds2, 1 dmaage control.
Its very tuff for the 90 seconds ur cap charges last.
Then u die.
But hey, its funny :)

HEre's what you do:
XL shield booster II
4x hardeners, probably an em/therm and 2 invulns.
cap injector with 800s
Turn on that XL and inject as needed. When you have 75+ resists against the dmg you're taking, it's a decent tank, but you can't tank most high dmg ships forever. A Neutron Mega with you webbed is going to brak that tank, you just need to break their's first.
