The one in Tush-Murkon Prime is gone. The macro ... err mining grounds in Jita are still there. So let's all go to Jita and enjoy the lag. -- $ perl -n -e 'print "Stop blameing pirates! Oveur is the root of all evil!\n" if m/podkill|lost my ship|gank|gate camp|Verone/;'

Personally I'd be perfectly content to see Ice being limited to low sec & 0.0
If the macro miners who mine it want it so badly, they should be willing to take a risk for it.

Great remove Ice and ice miners from the system, it will still be full as there are 6 mission runners or ore miners to any ice miner. Shift the lvl4 agents out and players will disperse far more effectively.

This probably is the MOST important effect of this change. Cann't you just hear all the printers warming up?

Just while I see you posting Ombey, thankyou very much for doing the maps. Took a bit of getting used to, but they're the best thing since damage controls :)

I don't get it...remove Ice Fields to stop people macro mining them.... but leave the biggest and worst macro mined system for ice in game....Jita ????

Some ice fields in high security, high traffic systems will deplete themselves over the coming days

This will just move them away from Jita and other places. Doesnt change anything except improve load balancing.

Anything, that I don't know, much? definetly not. But load balancing is nice enough.
And reading ftw... lost art.

Now where are all those pirates that claim to be asteroid-friendly? Save the endangered ice, eco-pirates!

With any luck they'll reduce the size of ice rocks so much in high sec that it's not worthwhile using them.
Perhaps if prices rise too much they'll increase the yield from them, on the other hand it might get to the point where ice mining in 0.0 rivals crokite for profit. That'd be nice.
But it just can't be a bad thing if they get the macro miners out of high sec, and make it either impossible for them to do it, or so difficult they give up. Can you imagine macro miners in 0.0? They'd last all of 15 minutes :P

I would love having them in low sec too. Even if they orginized themselfs with some very good mercs to defend their operations, it would be lots of fun trying to take them out.

Less ice in high sec high traffic systems.... macros going too 0.0... you know I think you're missing a couple of steps in between there.

Yeah, but I'm missing them on purpose. :)
I wonder if they all came out to 0.0... would people set up macros to farm macro miners?
Set it up and come back later and it's posted the killmails and filled a giant secure with ice harvester IIs? :)
(Yes of course I'm in the realms of fantasy here.)

Would be a convincing reason for me to give up mission running career and starting a macro farming career. ;-)

Edited by: Tarnish Katharr on 30/06/2006 15:10:27 The one in Scolluzer is gone. I'm going to have to go place a memorial sec can at one of my old BMs to the field. I'll miss my old days of stealing ice in Scolluzer.
Edit: That's in the Verge Vendor region.
