Hi All,
I'm looking to take a couple of alts out to make some cash on Sisters of EvE missions, and I thought I would try to avoid ganker attention by doing it in cheap ships that wouldn't be worth the effort. My plan is to hit lvl 3 missions with two of these working together.
[Drake, Drake flux]
Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Ballistic Control System II Damage Control II
Experimental 10MN Afterburner I Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I Limited 'Anointed' EM Ward Field Large F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction Limited Adaptive Invulnerability Field I
'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile 'Arbalest' Heavy Missile Launcher, Caldari Navy Scourge Heavy Missile Medium S95a Remote Shield Booster
Medium Rocket Fuel Cache Partition I Medium Warhead Flare Catalyst I Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
Hobgoblin II x5
With the skills on my alts I get these stats:
345 DPS out to 72km; 93 DPS from drones 66.8k EHP 76/67/75/79 -- EM/Therm/Kin/Exp 114 HP/s passive recharge 2 minutes of cap if I have to use the remote shield repper
What do you think? Bad idea? Worst idea? GO HOME AND DIE YOU ****ING IDIOT YOU DON'T DESERVE TO EVE?
Obviously cheap tengus running lvl 4s would be better. One of my alts can fly one competently, the other is getting there. But I'm new to dual-boxing, so I wanted to start with something cheap to get a feel for how it works. Turrents |

To me it seems a bit of a waste of time to do it this way. 1 of those drakes is more than enough on the passive recharge i think, worst case put a purger on instead of one of the other rigs.
If you have the setup for it and are comfortable i would be inclined to try doing 2 missions at once, I know SoE LP is a decent rate but 2 drake chars in a level 3 mission seems overkill. depending on your gunnery skills id also be inclined to use a different hull, but missions and missiles do work together pretty well.
Im just not sure you will get the reward you are expecting, in the level 3's i doubt you will need the shield boosters much if ever (blockade maybe) id be tempted to use an MWD instead, will reduce your cap but if you need those boosters on long you already have a problem |

Imo, Spider domis are a better move. No-one ganks a domi and they clean house pronto. |

If you really want to make money just grind the standings to do L4's, payout is much better and as long as you don't fly a shiney ship you're fine. |

A normal t2 fit battle ship, almost any of them, will be fine. No one. Gets ganked for t2 modules. I do agree with you here but on a funny sidenote, after a very long time of doing level 4's I went back to my first level 1 agent and warped my Raven into a level 1 mission and waited 20 seconds and activated a large smatbomb - mission complete signature |

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I think I will try doing two lvl 3s at a time and see what happens. Move to 4s when I get one of my alts trained up a bit better. Alas, neither have the skills for running gunships or Domis. Not even close really.
Is a pair of tengus equally overkill for a lvl 4? Or does that make a bit more sense?
A pair of Ravens? Would I be better off running two lvl 4s with 1 raven each? Turrents |

Depends on the gu's fit, tengu's are easy to gank and generally more expensively fitted, a pair of t2 fitted ravens would work and have plenty of DPS for the decent clear times, with level 4's and the battleships id be inclined to say dual box 1 mission at a time, the focussed dps should make the sites faster and thus more LP.
What I would really suggest however is to try things. If you dont want to do it on tranq, then download the singularity server and test it is the safe playpen faction and deadspace will cost a lot but most other things are 100 isk each, just download it, fit the ships and have at it, worst case scenario.. you get popped. Its a test server and has zero effect on TQ. Sisi also has some different rules and well woth reading them if you are going to try it on sisi. |

I think there is no need to be afraid in L4 SoE missions except when flying in uber expensive maurader setup, THE target for gankers. At most, expect small ninjas that steal tags and/or salvage.
I have done numerous SoE L4 missions and had no problems but very few ninja looters. I fly a Navy Domi with T2 sentries. Quite entertaining! My SoE agent standing is 9.9. I have barely time these days...wife in da house you know
So I guess you can fly a CNR with some T2 modules mixed with affordable modules in L4 missions... |

With your main account fly the DPS ship, and your second account a cruiser remote shield repper. The latter takes fairly little skillpoints to do the trick. That way you can speed up L4 missions, bringing in faster ISK. |

What he said. Sit in your max gank Raven w/ mission resists, other guy in an Osprey and life is good. At times its even possible to pull all of the aggro in the mission, then warp Osprey in and start repping away. Easy enough to keep your Osprey cap stable w/ a few energy transfers on your Raven. I'll mess around in EFT and give you a decent idea. Also nice to have a few small drones in your Osprey for the occasional Scram rat! Cedric

Put your second account in another dps ship. Vexor navy issue is a good option, drop 5 sentries and orbit.
Taking a second account as logi is a giant waste of time, when a second dps ship would help you finish the missions faster and mean you'd need less tank in the first place. |
