Edited by: Heff on 30/09/2003 17:20:39 Forgive me for posting this here but I don't know how else to get results from CCP. I've filed a number of petitions and never heard back on a single one. I am only posting this hear with the hope that a GM will see it and escalate it somewhere where it can be investigated. I apologize if this is the wrong place, but the lack of attention my petitions are getting has left me desperate.

Problem: Yesterday we noticed that all of our lab slots no longer belonged to us (they were all publicly available). There were messages in the mailbox saying that the leases were terminated (which happens when the rents are not paid or the slots are not used). Strangely enough, all of the leases WERE paid and all of the slots WERE being used (each lab had an original BP in it).
Now all of the lab slots are empty (they don't even belong to us anymore so I cannot unrent them and try that old fix). More importantly, all of the BPs are missing. The BPs were all installed from a secure hangar that only I have access to so I know they were not stolen from that hangar. There must be a number of bugs in effect:
1) Lab slots are unrenting themselves due to lack of use when they are really being used (I say this because we had email stating that our lab rent was declined from lack of use when they all had BPs installed).
2) When lab slots unrent themselves, the BPs go missing; or the BPs eject to a hangar they were not installed from leaving them free to be taken by others (since they were installed from a secure hangar, I imagine they should also eject to that same hangar like they do when a research or production job completes).
So there you have it... we are missing many original blueprints that could not have been stolen unless a bug forced the BPs to go somewhere where they shouldn't have. Either way GMs, I have filed 3-4 petitions and a bug report on this and I await your timely response.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
Again, I apologize to everyone if this is not the place to file this. I am sure a GM or Polaris member will move it/lock it/address it as necessary.
... and for all of you hyenas out there: if it doesn't get resolved, you cannot have my stuff. But you can buy it on Ebay when I dump it.

Dunno about the AWOL blueprints. But sounds reminiscent of the bug where if the research on the blueprint went past the lab lease without the bp being ejected and reinstalled, the lab didn't register the use.

Some of the BPs were in for mineral research (5 levels and 20 days worth) and some were in for copies. If the labs unrented for ANY reason, be it legitimate or bug, I expect the BPs would have returned to their safe little secure hangar. Not so in this case. Thanks for the input though.

we have had this same issue I have a petition in atm for one of the bp's that are missing (a very important one) and we had also 2 other bp's that we just figured out disapeared in the same fashion, we did not see this right away because these were just in research for like 2000k runs. -- Datsevlu Blow'em up we'll build more.

I had the unrent-and-eject issue with a few blueprints as well, pretty darn annoying. 2 of my 4 labslots got unrented, the other 2 was still in research when I nocited (4 levels above the other BPs).

Jarjar... where did the BPs go when they were ejected? I can't find them anywhere. No lab, no BP, nothing.

I had this problem after the last major patch. I checked my labs and they were public again and all my originals were missing. When i reopened the labs for the second or third time, the labs appeared with our corp lease and the bp's were still there in the lab slots. You may have checked that, but that happened to me once.

Yeah, I tried that. I rented the vacant labs again and they were still empty. Then I unrented them and no BPs appeared. Thanks for the suggestion.

We've seen bug #1 happen just recently on one slot and on several slots about a month ago. I've yet to see #2 but I'm going to inventory all our BP originals to verify (scarry!).
The pattern for #1 seems to be if you have a bill due for the slot (note you have a several day grace period to pay to extend the lease before the least actually expires) but the least hasn't expired and the slot finishes a batch and the BP is ejected then the slot unrents. This is not 100% confirmed by watching it happen in real-time but appears to be the case based on checking slots and bills and seeing the rent get cancelled.
For sure, they unrent after being used and without expiring but it seems to happen very infrequently. I'll file a bug report on what I've seen thus far.

I had a similar incedent occur a long time ago. I manged to get the blueprint back by renting the slot it was located in and installing another blueprint for a single run (ammo research fast and quick). When the second blueprint ejected, the first one came out with it.

Had a similar problem about the time of the inifinite copy patch. Had been researching a bestower blueprint orig in a personal hangar only to have the same thing happen (unrent and dissapearing bp), thing is, the orig showed up about a week later in the same hangar. (Without any intervention i believe as none had responded to me)

Edited by: Heff on 01/10/2003 21:44:59 Edited by: Heff on 01/10/2003 21:41:42 From my point of you it's a straightforward problem. But we are getting replies like:
"What blueprints are missing?"
"Who installed the blueprints and when?"
"I see a number of (totally unrelated) BPs in your hangar; are those the ones you are looking for?"
All of these questions have been answered either in the original petition or in subsequent replies. I just don't understand the service level or escalation procedure CCP follows. I would hope one person would be assigned to the issue so I wouldn't have to explain the situation 10 times to 10 different people. If one person can't handle it, then I hope that person would accurately relay my issue to the next person.
I have never been so frustrated by customer service in my life... not by the phone company, not by the cable company, not by the auto repairman, not by the cell phone company... Honestly, this is the worst I have ever seen. I love Eve and I want to keep playing it if CCP would allow me to. They really make it difficult. I don't mean to poke fun at CCP or alienate them by making them mad (the last thing I want to do for fear that they will "lose" my petition forever). But this is really poor. People will not pay to play a game if they feel they have no support for when things go wrong.

I regularly have the problem of getting booted from paid-for labs that are in full use 'round the clock.
As far as I can tell, I pay the bill when I rent the slot, then when that bill comes up again (10days or so, sound right?), I get booted from the slots. The slots are all in use 100% of the time (ok, 99.1%) during the rental period.
I've had this happen ever since they 'fixed' the rentals to ensure usage. Since I liked that fix, I put up with this.
I've never had bps go missing on me when this happens (yeesh!) Now I'm worried. Good luck!

We did not notice that this happened tell it happened to a bp that we constantly used. (a battleship bp) this also happened with a cruiser bp and a Iteron bp. These we did not notice right away becuse we don't use these as much. Atm I just want CCP to continue to respond I heard from them just after I put in the petition but now have not heard from them in 3 days. I had givin them a compliment at first that they were fast to respond (at the time) but the follow through is taking quite a long time. -- Datsevlu Blow'em up we'll build more.

We have had similar issues, but were handled very courteously and professionall by the GM's. By providing them with a known time, date and location of one of the blueprints, they will be able to track it thorugh to where it currently is (including if it was blackholed).
Of course, I believe they are having a bit of a *****-down on giving out item location information - but I can see nothing wrong with your request, and so I would keep pushing for an acceptable response. --

Just had a weird bug myself, which I've reported. Rented out the only free research slot at a station - only to find a Bestower BP already in there. Can't eject it. Tried cancelling and re-renting - it's still there.
So I have a slot I can't use, with a BP that belongs to someone else, which isn't being properly researched...

It's all just very disappointing. Hey Techell, do you want my stuff? If I give it to you, the game will be even more lopsided, and even more people will be mad, and even more will leave.
In all seriousness, I just don't know what the holdup is. It's a cut and dry situation and each day we are missing our blueprints we are losing lots of money.
CCP please, pretty please with sugar on top, fix this.

And sense that it "estimated profits" CCP will not renburse you. They should at least give us one or 2 more lvls of min eff. Hell been thinking just to buy another one and start doing research on it while we wait. That is what I did with the thorax that we lost this way just bought one that had min eff already (did not compare to the copy we had at 20)
All in all I was ok with the support until this issue. Every other issue I have had has been handle with at least a decent amount of time this is just getting bad. Hey maybe we should take our miner 2 bp's and blow them up in a can, maybe that would get thier attention. (just kidding btw) -- Datsevlu Blow'em up we'll build more.

Well now it is time for me to stick my foot in my mouth. Or bp was not done by a bug. One of our corp members sold it as a one run bp (not going to name who). Lucky I was able to track it down and they were very nice about returning it (we gave them a reward).
CCP's GM's were great in this matter and top noch I would say for tech support they went above and beyond. They could not give out any information about the person who had it and I respect that but I was able to find out who on our side did the trade and traced it from there.
Thank you CCP good job and I am sorry this was our problem not yours.

=========================================== Hi xxxxxx,
I was able to confirm your claims on the Thorax copy and the Imicus Mineral reaserch. They have been corrected, that is you now have the missing Thorax copy and the Imicus bp has one more level of mineral eff. I was however unable to support your claims for the Vigil research.
