Hi,
I have a new Merlin (I am a NOOB yes), this is my first ship after the newbie one, so I wanted to ask if my fittings are cool...
Currently
HI: 2x 125mm Railguns with Tungsten or Antimatter (depends on range obviously) 2x Missile Launcher (want to upgrade to Malkuth soon) with Bloodclaws
MID: 1x AB I 1x Small Shield Booster 1x Stasis Webber 1x Named Scrambler
LOW: 2x Named PDS
I took the named PDS they were incredible expensive for me, but no other way could I fit the MIDs ok without them as I had to low PG. This improves as I am training my Energy skills, but will take some time I guess. I think this setup as little PvP, I wanted to put in a shield extender for PvE but my CPU does not take it (unless I buy the 2mill exteneder which I cannot afford...).
I am running kill missions from a level 1 agent (quality: 7) and I am flawless in that.

You don't need a scramber if you're doing missions. NPCs never warp out during missions.
I'm not sure about the value of the webber for lvl 1 missions in a ship that can kill other frigates.

For missions remove the warp jammer and put on a resistance hardener, either passive or active.

Thanks everyone, I thought so. I will check if I can free some CPU for a hardener.
Thanks for the generous offer Quillan Rage, I am on a business trip till wednesday, I will make sure to evemail you then! It is very much appreciated.
I really begin to love this game, first MMO to really drag me in. So much to do, so much to learn and so much to explore... got to love it.

On the scale from 1 to K, I'd rate it blue

Nice ship, I'm sure it'll be able to handle level #2s with some experience and patience. Although as somebody said before, for PVE there's no need for a scrambler, and often times no need for a stasis webifier since you're a fast frigate. You might want to put some hardeners / amplifiers in there to make your tank stronger.

You are absolutely right, the scrambler is mostly in there as I trained the skills for PvP. I am not yet PvPing but I am currently looking for a corp that would need a defense for their miners/haulers and I think in a PvP team I could tackle a target nicely with that setup. I want to put in a shield extender for Missions and stuff, I hope to get my skills up there enough so I have enough CPU and Power to do so, currently cannot do with the rest installed, but that energy management skills should be up by tomorrow to support that setup.
Thanks for all the advice, it is very much appreciated.

If you are having CPU/PG problems, try fitting a Micro Auxilliary Power core, and a cpu co-processor, might help dunno. But a Micro Aux Power core will give you much more extra grid than the PDS will. Plus they are pretty much dirt cheap.
