Jury Rigging IV I could get behind, but it's such a small amount of SP I really can't be bothered if they give it back or not.
Anchoring V has other uses for which many have trained it. So no refund there. |

And OP: what makes you think that they'd reimburse skills that are still in the game and that still offer all kinds of functionality? It would be a complete reversal of their reimbursement policy and it doesn't really make any sense.

There's never been any rules or such to it. Past performance, no guarantee for the future plus HTFU & all that. Considering however that upon my return I found an EVE with an actual SAFETY (!) mechanism, I'd have thought they would be catering more to retention/conversion crunch points these days than in the past when it was always a spur of the patchday kind of thing.
They do have rules to it. Drone gift SP was because without it some people would be unable to use their drones the way they did pre-change until after training. Removed skills are always reimbursed so your total SP doesn't decrease, and things like the splitting out of battlecruisers, again was to stop you losing capability.
When they make a change which doesn't mean you can do less but means a given skill is worth less, I've not known them to ever refund SP, and I'm not sure why they would. They won't be refunding the scientific networking skill either. Now if they removed the skills, then there would be cause for a refund.

They added the racial drone specializations as a requirement. But it's only a ~30min train to rank 1 for each and if you had sentries before the patch you already have all the prereqs (Drones 5) |

Well , have to agree it is a bit dumb when ccp makes soem skills be Absolutely worthless because they remove ALL the thigns in game affected by it.
So they should add thigns that need higher levels. PLease CCP, stop makign everything just EASIER to reach.

The only time they did it in the past where it was actually needed was for the learning skills going away. But since then it's set a precedent and now we have all these whiny entitled brats crying for SP refunds each time a skills gets re-purposed or tweaked.
Every single person who cries about this should have 100k SP subtracted from their main character each time they cry about it.

The only time they should reimburse though is when the actual skill is gone, not because it's not currently useful. People used to say "mua ha ha ha! Lucas! You guys do realise that jury rigging 4-5 is needed for more than rigs right? Jury rigging 5 is needed for t3 manufacture...so if my jury rigging 5 gets reimbursed id like to ask for all of my reverse engineering and science kills reimbursed, or you know you guys could just not whinge about a very useful skill just because you lot cant do research. |
