I was training a one hour skill before work and guess what happened? Yup, I forgot and left without training a new skill!
Now I have lost a good ten hours of training! %$#*& So, anyone else forget and lose training time? Make me feel better!
I want my primary and secondary pretty please!

Happens to me all the time, can't count how much time I've probably lost due to that.
I don't like sigs, this one in particular.

I'm probably missing one day for every ten with my new character, just by forgetting
one of the best was when I was done with all the learning and tried to boost upp all the 0-3 skills; I would set some 10 minute skill going, do something else, remember it 2-30 hours later, hit an other 10 minute skill, watch some sopranos, do something else, read a book, switch to an other 10 minute a day later on and on & the best part is that I'm not done yet, I just gave upp and started running skills to 5 before I've managed to take some basic skills to 1.

Edited by: Tyranical Teabagger on 04/07/2006 06:36:53 early on yes, but I got tired of missing training time so I only do short skills while I'm actually playing. More than enough long 3-7 day skills I can train now and the odd 20+ day skills. Man are those a drag. Like drone interfacing 5 is coming up withing the next week. Won't have to worry about that one for a solid 24ish days. Should get started a week before I go on vacation and finish a few days after I get back. I'm just fearing the withdrawl. I'm sure the beach will take my mind off of it, but the drive, oh man, that'll suck. I'll be shaking like a *****head looking for a fix.

I cancelled EVE for nine months due to being harassed by a GM, and lost training for all of it.
I lost count of the number of times I lost the odd few hours. It's not like they matter. ________________________________________________

Those 10 hours will mean absolutely zero in a year from now. Even if you lose an entire week, its less than 2% lost training time in a year. You wont miss it. If you gain 12 mill skillpoints in a year, 2% is 240.000 sp.
So your 10 hours are pretty insignificant.

I managed to forget to train a skill for two days on my main, while actively using the character on a daily basis.
Dunno why the wee flashing icon didnt register in my head.

Thats a pretty stark claim there! GMs can be misinformed sometimes, yes. They will - like all human beings - not respond too well to poor communication. But never ever have I seen a GM harass me or people I know.
They usually (i.e. 99 out of 100) are quite professional and calm in trying to help. The only shame is that often the GMs lack the tools and manpower to help as fast as many think they should.

I think I've lost about 8 months overall. It is not a big deal.

It happens to virtually all of us. I've probably missed a cumulative total of 5 or 6 days of training over 38 months in the game. My biggest gap is 14 hours
I agree with McGregor...the occasional loss of a few hours is not significant in the long run. 10 hours over the course of a year amounts to only 0.1% of the available training time.

I tend to log in on the EVE mobile client if I make that mistake, or if the phone's not charged up I just hop onto the website and change skills via My Character section.
Oh, wait...

No, that's what I WANT to do!!!
Sadly I just berate myself all day long and then drive like a lunatic at 90-odd mph down the M62 to get home ASAP.
You think that needing to change a skill on EVE will get me off a speeding ticket?
