Achuras can easily wear a military looking shirt with military looking pants and boots, no need to buy anything in the NEX store even. Most other races have some sort of similar combinations, i think. The rest is really tame and actually fairly bland and boring - nothing i ever would call "sexualized" in any shape or form.
In general I agree about more options, though. Specifically more lore friendly things like the old Khanid clothes , royal looking Amarr ornaments, crazy see-through Gallente stuff and wild haircuts and the cool looking headsets of Achuras . |

Who told you about this immersions stuff ?
There is no immersions.
You clearly miss the point - the game is about industry spreadsheets and elite PvP skills that involve lots of drop down menus and pressing F1. |

Has this thread devolved into cross dressing and jokes about what Amarrians wear under their robes?
They usually do, I just don't have time to read the whole thing.

I won't care about clothing until it's either free or costs less than a thousand ISK. I refuse to spend more on a pair of shoes than what it costs to buy a fleet of spaceships. It's completely ridiculous because there's absolutely no gameplay inside the captain's quarters that focuses on your avatar (except for sitting privately on a couch and reading the news) and so I only see my shoes 2% of the time on any given day in High Sec and when I'm in null, that drops to 0 percent because I'm using a POS instead of a starbase.
I am utterly incapable of understanding why I'd ever spend 900,000,000 ISK on a single article of clothing. I could buy enough cheap ships with that to give me a lot of PvP time!

EVE isn't other MMOs, and it barely registers as an RPG, although it can be played that way.
The thing that most distinguishes it from others, though, is that your 'avatar' is an afterthought. In EVE, your true avatar is whatever ship you're undocked in. So this is a ringing endorsement for ship painting and Erebus microskirts?....
But anyways...
OP, blame the players for the current state of clothing, not CCP. They got what they asked for, and that's the demographic that plays Eve.
See: Undying petitions for a bottomless skirt and naked avatars (though I think most of these would end up being male, with the age slider maxed out).
Oh, and thanks Gully. It took a lot of work to get the lighting right to hide the wrinkles, but it was worth it. 40? You really think so? Feeling younger every day... Wait, CCP kills kittens now too?!-á - Freyya

i don't understand why male and female avatars need to have completely different clothing options? there's a lot of neat female clothing options that are currently totally unavailable to male toons and probably some male ones that would look cool on ladies too. in space, anyone can rock skin-tight latex pants and pencil skirts |

Is this the whole "Give female avatars body armor like the guys" thing? Because really that's all that's missing.
When you think about it, the options of clothing between genders is actually extremely similar. Aside from being able to 'crop' a female's top up to show off her belly there's in fact absolutely no female clothes available aside from the calf-length skirts that are in any way more revealing or risque than anything in the male wardrobe.
Both have pants of varying styles, both have military style uniform shirts/jackets (as you mentioned would be nice to have - well there actually is already), both have tank-tops, both have t-shirts, males have bulky overcoats, females get the bulky 'dresses' instead. Maybe it's my lack of sleep, and fact I was about to go get some before I saw this thread, but aside from arms and belly females currently can't show any skin, males can also show off their arms. So honestly I've no idea what you're even talking about. Gÿá Part-time wormhole pirate | GÖí Full-time super model WH Blog | #420roloswag | Bio |

You're mistaking pragmatism for grumbling, and putting words in my mouth. Whether you know me or not, you still put words in my mouth. That doesn't make you clever, that makes you an idiot. And then you had the nerve to abuse me when I'd been nothing but civil. I suggest if you want to see bitter, you take a look in a mirror.

Why is it that female avatars get to choose which level their 'torpedos' are at, but all the male avatars are stuck at 'Ken doll"?
Seriously... look, im not looking for 'Ron Jeremy hiding a salami' level here.. and I think we would even settle for 'the pool is cold' or 'smuggling grapes' vs the 'ken doll' weve been locked in with.

Guys, stop the cat fighting, this is about fashion.
FASHION.
Might not mean much in GD but where I come from downunder in Wormhole forum most arguments are actually won on the cut of a jib
@ OP - Anyway, yeah. 3/4 of your post seems like a rant about wardrobe inequality and female stereotypes. Looking at the actual wardrobes available to both genders I'd say your concern is 95% baseless.
The remaining part of your post seems to simply call for more fashion options in general, and I along with most would prolly agree completely with that.

Don't get me wrong, I dabble with the in-game avatar from time to time myself. Got Rem a new coat last week. I'm just saying, in this spaceship game, if the spaceships aren't the priority, then all we have is another dressing up game and we might as well be playing Habbo Hotel instead. I've yet to see a male avatar look older than 40ish, and a female one look older than 30ish. Agreed! Some older, geezers wiser looking characters playing seasoned captains would do well in all four factions so we can have characters the likes of Antony Hopkins, Jon Voight, Christopher Plummer, to name just a few interesting facesGǪ Old is what happens to dirt dwellers. We are pod pilots at the peak of our abilities. You think that at a time when cloning is common that pilots are not going to jump into prime 20 year old versions of themselves? I know I wouldn't. Until someone puts the models side by side in a 3d renderer and compares the meshes in minute detail in a video, I'm not buying it.
I mean, look at what we're all working with here... When dealing with proportions like this the scale in which differences are measured also changes.

Please stop griping about sexism, they already PG13 the avatards enough, now you want them wearing military outfits? What is the point? Is there anyone out there that that walks around their own house with actual clothes on(CQ is your home)? Also, why does less clothing = more sexism? Its not like the female avatards are getting paid 75 cents on the dollar.
