Hi.
I filed a petition a week ago. I have not received an answer yet. How long do I usually have to wait for an answer? Do I allways get an answer? I should get an answer even if CCP doesn't approve my reimbursement right?
I don't want to send a new petition with the same matter because CCP allways talks about how annoying they think it is when people do that.
Other times when I have made a petition I have received an answer after a few days. Is there any way to make sure they haven't missed it?

Edited by: Avon on 06/07/2006 09:33:30 Just wait. Sorry, but that is really the best thing to do. (Well, after resizing your sig that is.)

It's a shame, it was a great looking sig.

It takes so long because of all the whiney plebs petitioning every ship loss they have for no reason so it takes the devs so dam long to go through them all.
Fear not tho you will get a response.

30 days, no response.
It's the GM's way of preventing you from putting in more than 1 petition while they try and fail to catch up with the load.
And when you get a response, 98% probability that they'll just say 'there was nothing wrong on our end', and close it.

Heh, it isn't just ship losses. People will petition anything now. Honestly, it is madness.

2 weeks waiting on the simplest petition ever. Know some corp mates waiting abou 6 weeks still on petitions for reimbursement. No responses whatsoever from GM's, not even "we're sorry, we have 2000 people in front of you to send canned denial responses to, please be patient while we determine the best way to **** you off today."

It doesn't matter how simple your petition is if there are 3000 dumb ones infront of you in the queue.

I did not want this to be a "I hate CCP"-thread. I really don't hate CCP, just wanted to know if any one knew how the petitions work and how they are handled. Guess they just have a lot of petitions, I can wait. I don't think they do this intenionally to screw us over like some of you seem to think.

Not to mention that when you lose a ship due to such a messed up node that it lagged you sitting there in a ship with 0 structure for 5 minutes, and didn't even give you a kill mail, just put you in a pod without a can... after a month and a half of waiting they tell you that they couldn't find any problems (perhaps cause it happened so !@#$ long ago the logs are gone?) on the server at the time?

Come on, at least take a real look at the damn things. This is getting old, quick. --

Well, my corp lost a capital ship in a trade window error, which was replaced after 5 weeks of waiting, god only knows what would of happened if during that time the station the ship was at was lost to a hostile force.
Then, my on-going problem with losing a force recon ship, no kill mail, no can from when the ship poped, and during the whole attack I got no sign of any modules going active or not, and yet, they some how manage not to find any server problems...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you don't even get a kill mail or drop can from the ship, there is a god damn problem with the server, no?
These GM's are swamped, yes.
But for christ sakes, if something this weird happens, have another team to handle it, and tell the guy who's already waited 4 weeks "Let us look into this weird set of events further" rather then "Sorry for your loss, now bug off"
[EDIT]: Part of the problem, you have to start to wonder is, the people beind the GMs, who you know play the game, which is fine, have been in game long enough to where when you lose a 150m ship, to them it's a small loss, and not worth the effort to figure out what exactly happen, if there are no huge red flags that a node totally blew up.
Human nature is to grow callus, and it happens. --

Does anyone agree this is obviously a serious problem which just seems to be getting worse? The amount of time you have to wait for a legitimate petition is slightly outrageous - as for the whole 'it's because of the thousands of stupid petitions people send, thats why you have to wait' - well, as a paying customer, how CCP manage their petition backlog just isn't my problem. Perhaps CCP need to provide clearer guidance as to what is a legitimate petition and if people are abusing the system by constantly submitting silly petitions, then there should be some kind of penalty, or warning.
CCP is an awesome company but making players wait one month+ for a reply is really letting them down!

In one a half years i have never had one solved they either give you a lame escuse or close the thread. Unless your in an alliance and you can get 10 or 20 people to complain at once you have no chance. Good luck on the petition but from my experience you will have better luck asking people in local for ISK than you have to getting it fully resolved.

Signed.
I took a break from the game back in March and let my accounts lapse. After some people I know started playing I thought I'd jump back in myself.
I had a number of BPOs in corporate labs when my account expired. The corporate hangers they came from were closed when the leases expired. When I restarted everything the jobs where still there, but none of my BPOs ejected correctly (I did open new offices before ejecting but I'm assuming the pointer was still going towards the old non-existant office). I'm missing over a billion ISK in BPOS.
Additionally one of my other characters lost all of his research agents.
I have weeks old petitions in for both of these and haven't yet heard a thing. If/when they get fixed, I plan on filing two new ones for the ISK I lost waiting for the blueprints to be restored, and the lost RP I should have.

You still get a kill mail though. When I logged on today I got a loss mail for a shuttle I had left somewhere when podding myself somewhere. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

Exactly, and to say nothing was wrong with the server at the time, after that 4 week wait... --
