This past weekendish you were called together to defend a GoonSwarm tower in NPC space. You gathered up the troops, dropped your "APEX KITCHEN SINK" fleet and saved your tower. Which is great, congrats on undocking and playing. But, many of you have lost r64 towers without any support from Goonswarm or the rest of the CFC. Your towers have been reinforced, then left to die. No pings, No mails from Mittani declaring "This is War" or even a mention. Just lonely CFC towers being removed from your possession while GOONSWARM MK3 towers are saved.

I am curious why you guys would form up to help GoonSwarm when they dont even help you defend your timers? BoB use to do this, and from what GSF MK 3 says, they are not BoB, yet they act like BoB.

But replying to the op in all seriousness, the pet alliances are horrible at tracking their towers. It's entirely possible that no one bothered to check up on their tower losses, thinking it was someone elses concern. In my experience many of them don't bother checking up on their towers for 2-3 weeks at a time easily.

If you don't like goons rental empire, you've been given the answer in the form of cloaky camping. If even 1/10th of n3/pl/grr goons bloc active membership had an alt ready to cloaky camp when they weren't doing their normal activities greater western would be gone within a few months. Fortunately for goons/CFC people can not be bothered to login and press cloak.

If you loose a tower to some NPC Dwellers (see fountain/pure blind/fade) you dont deserve one as a sov alliance tbh.

In all seriousness though, you should probably talk to your pets about better tower management. I have a set of siphons on a dyspro moon going on week 3 now.

It's kinda sad, I think the tower is lonely and misses it's owner. Maybe there should be some charitable agency to pair neglected towers with attentive and caring owners?

That's all we had most of the time, back when I was in Faction Warfare. Every now and again, we'd go balls deep and get like 20-30.

We would defend them, but sometimes that's effort. Waiting until they are gone and then replacing them only takes 1 guy and a few hundred mil, and we can rat up more than we lose in the time it takes them to knock the tower down. You do the math.

If memory serves, when my corp was looking for a new place to stay there was some talk of unicorns being distributed to the membership should we join a cfc alliance.

On a personal note, I actually don't have anything against goonswarm. You guys never touched my spaceships in the wrong way or anything like that. I just feel that being band wagoner #57689 to join the winning side of a stagnant and bipolar eve is rather weak and in poor taste. Which is why I rather dislike most of the other cfc alliances.

I wasnt around for the BOB wars. But from what I hear from people who were there, current goons and company sound like BOB. Ironic.

They have the initial taste of "grrr goons", but after that they get a strong "i want to mine" and then "i bring my dead space fitted ratting ship to a pvp fleet and die horrible" as the finishing end.

I am happy you are still around even after Cobalt Edge Incident and provide me and my friends with that delicious tears and kill mails.

We had a long and complex plan to ruin Star Citizen, but had to abandon it when we discovered Chris Roberts was doing a fine job of ruining it well in advance.
