What does it take to tank the guns at a .4 station or gate. I've got 70 resist all and a large accom, is that enough? --------- (\_/) (O.o) (> <)This is Bunny. Copy Bunny into your signature to help him on his way to world domination. |

Indefinatly? No. You might be able to stick around for a good while though. Generally I fit dual reps for tanking sentries, though. With a dual rep tank can stay there a hell of a long time. Your signature is too large! Please resize it according to the forum guidelines. Jacques Archambault |

Just snipe Tanking station guns won't happen AFAIK, and tanking gate guns solo is very difficult in a BS (sleipnir is best for it I think though)

Tanking opponent + sentry is hard, tanking sentries is easy. My astarte can do it with a single rep going. --- Our greatest glory is not in never failing, but in rising up every time we fail. - Emerson |

How would you do anything by solo tanking gates? Don't they shoot just one guy at a time? I known I've seen geddons do it so a domi should do just fine. Right? --------- (\_/) (O.o) (> <)This is Bunny. Copy Bunny into your signature to help him on his way to world domination. |

on a bs you really need dual reps for sentry tanking

A maller with hardeners and named plate comes out with near 75% to all resistences and nearly 6k armor, plenty of tank/time to kill assault frigates, interceptors, haulers and weakly setup cruisers before the need to warp out
And the best thing, if it all goes wrong, cheap as chips to replace
Hours of ganking fun outside stations

Sentry guns do more thermal and kinetic dmg than anything else, but they do deal all dmg types. If you can get your kinetic and thermal resistances up to 80%, and the other two to around 70%, a tech 2 large rep will give you a lot of room to work with on tanking the guns and engaging something. The biggest trick tbh is releasing drones, because the sentry guns will favor killing your drones before they kill your ship. So get a solid tech 2 tank, 10k in armor, probably a damage control incase it gets close and you hit structure and add in some drones to distract the guns and you will be safe engaging most things. (Though, unless you think you have a good advantage over an opponent's HAC, or BS, for example, they are clearly a noob, or not tanked very well, dont engage, because you will die.)
have fun

It really does depend on what faction the guns are for example ammar and khanid do more Em and Thermal, but tanking seturies is easy if there is a few of yous there, but then again it depends all on your set-up

How does having multiple people present affect the guns? Do they focus on one person, alternate, or somthing different? --------- (\_/) (O.o) (> <)This is Bunny. Copy Bunny into your signature to help him on his way to world domination. |
