So wait, you're stupid enough to believe that NPCs getting the final blow is an exploit ... but you're going to be flying a machariel now?
What system are you based out of? I think I'll come for a visit.

Yeah, there's still loot. And don't forget the fun-factor.
The kill was fun, the resulting smack-mails he's sent me telling me he's petitioning me and the convo I received, and last but not least, this thread goes beyond fun factor. This has made my day
Fraps will be hosted as soon we've finished our nightly rampage around placid.
Yes, in an odd way this was FUN for me too - fun to watch IDIOTS putting isk in my pockets. |

I must of missed part of the story were they gave you ISK. You lost a T2 fitted Raven insurance will pay out like 112m? (correct me if I'm wrong) but your Raven and setup would of cost lots more. Where and how did you gain ISK?

The only way they put ISK in your pockets is when the insurance paid out into your wallet but it doesn't mean profit since you lost a lot more than you gained. I thank you for your insults I was going to suggest some hints and tips to stay out of their way but as T obviously don't have the mental capacity to understand any of this I can't explain anything either.

You're talking about mental capacity? The crap that you expell from your mouth is mentally and physically hurting me. You have no idea what the **** you're talking about, and are trying to save face by being ganked, and you don't even know the difference between a shuttle and a Helios. --------------------

Wtf, you gave him MORE isk by killing him. You killed his Raven that was insured for 120m(LOL), so he gained ISK, and is now going to build a Machariel because of it! --------------------

I am still ROLF over all this !
So you made you little 1's and 0's attack my little 1's and 0's using some NPC 1's and 0's. Who cares !
Soon I will have a nice shiny new set of 1's and 0's and we can do this all over again using nothing but 1's and 0's.

I bet his calculation looks something like this:
5m bpc + 30m insurance + 30m fitting + mined/mission *****d minerals = bs for 65m which is less than the payout.
Just an idea: if you make isk by getting killed, please stay afk the whole day at a planet or gate in lowsec and enjoy the easy isk-making you've just invented

Originally by: Eltigre Nobody would design such weapons in real life but in EVE even a small ship can stand toe to toe with a big ship. On planet Earth a Frigate not stand a chance against a Battleship because on Earth using the physics we have available to us - TNT has the same force against a small ship or a big ship the only difference is small ship is easier to destroy. In EVE - small ship has less surface area and thus the explosion causes less damage. Surface area has nothing to do with explosive force. Small things get the same level of explosive force as big objects. If physics worked as they are modeled in EVE in real life an atom bomb could not kill a flea because the flea has less surface area than something larger.
/me sighs at the OPs unawareness of how missiles work
In the game, you'll notice there are 4 types of damage types. Kinetic, thermal, explosive, and electromagnetic or EM. Kinetic missiles tend to create a graviton shockwave, thermals tend to use plasma contained by an magnetic field, explosive are always varying grades of nuclear warheads (except for the citadel torpedo which has something to do with nocxium molecules), and EM missiles/torps simply carry varying grades of EMP generators. In actually no part of the game are conventional explosives mentioned (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Missiles irl that would be used in space, assuming they carry conventional warheads, have oxygen thoroughly laced into the explosive (because oxygen is the catalyst of fire/explosions).
In all of the above cases, the explosion is distributed in a near-perfect sphere from the point of detonation, and carries the same amount of energy in all directions (unless the charge happens to be shaped).
Now you have to factor in 2 things: speed of target object and surface area effected by the shockwave of energy. The faster an object is, the less time it spends in the shockwave (if heading towards origin) and travels with the shocwave, which is rapidly decreasing in energy content the farther it moves outward (heading with/away from the origin).
And then depending on how large the object is, it may be more or less effected by the wave. You could have the very thin, sleek profile of the shuttle or the very large and somewhat blockish profile of the Raven (or for the sake of explanation, any BS). The one that will recieve the greatest amount of compounded force will be the BS, not the shuttle.
Not sure if this is exactly how it's done, but say the explosion on the missile is 300m. The sig radius of the shuttle is no more than 20m. 300/20=15. So the shuttle only absorbs 1/15th of the total dmg. So say the cruise missile does 400 dmg per shot. 400 x 1/15 = a stunning 27 dmg. The shuttle wins. (And that doesn't even factor in speed.)
Please disregard this if it has little or no relevance, or is completely false (and if it is I'd like to know why). I'm just bored to tears right now and am sick of d/cing in-game.
AND now for something a little more relevant...
Not only were you owned by a shuttle but you had to post about it with a title that blared "EXPLOIT" which if you paid attention is usually the calling card of the stereotypical and much-hated carebear. (There are miners, industrialists, NPCers, missioneers, deadspacers, and then there are carebears.)
Then you go insulting other people's intelligence when you yourself have showed a profound lack of intelligence and common sense (not to mention grace in defeat, or a little humility). If you're so happy with your 120mil and Machirel in-construction, then there was no need to post this for the world to see.
If this isn't actually the joke post of the week, awful form.

Yes, but in EVE the missiles are made out of 1's and 0's and they do no real damage to anything.
In space, when a bomb explodes there is a small area that contains debris from the materials the bomb was made out of which expands outward from the center of the explosion.
On Earth, when a bomb explodes the same thing happens except there is an atmosphere that contains molucules of air and other particles that helps to radiate the explosion outward.
Some have asserted that bombs in space do damage differently than on Earth's atmosphere but with a little more thought we can see how a bomb in space would still do a great deal of damage especially if the bomb was packed with enough matter to give the explosion more punch.
