this might sound a bit stupid quistion but i just cant disade which race i should be.. i started as a caldari and never excually thought of any other races i didnt know they had different ships and stuff.
I just simply hate it that i'm always going from another race to another.. i thought caldari was best for me beacuse they are the missile race.. but have the most ugliest ship in the game!!
i find amarr ships really buttifull but they are terrible with missiles.. also people are telling me the amarr race is the least choosen one and other different stuff about it
then ofcourse there are the gallentes.. well i dont know they have few cool ships and stuff..
and then there are the minmatars.. they are normally good with missiles but i find the projectile boring.. also theyr ships look weird
you are probably all think OMG!! who cant chosse his race i mean it cant be that hard?
but i would just really like to get into the game more and play a little on the race i like the most but i simply CANT choose

You can just train for the other races. It isn't that hard.
I personally can fly every single tech 1 ship in the game for all races with the single exception of the Mammoth.

It really doesnt matter m8. My alt is caldari but is almost fully amarr spec'd atm. And i'm flying a megathron instead of my raven atm.
Takes no time at all to skill up a new race of ships and to at least fly cruisers and get a feel for the different ships. -----

Dizzie, as for starting race: Go with what looks good to you. I chose my original race based on the Portrait I created. Then, I chose skills based on what I wanted to START as. In the end, I'll be able to fight or mine as I see fit. Unlike other games where you really need an alt for crafting without gimping your fighter, this game allows every player to do whatever they want. There isn't a single skill in the game which will "gimp" you if you learn it. And after you get all the learning skills to 5, your stats will ALL be high enough that what they started at will matter very little.

Dizzie, when Dark said "train for another race", he meant that you should stick with your current race and buy skills for the other racial ships. That way, your Caldari character can choose to fly whichever ships it wants, since ships do not get bonuses on the basis of which race flies them. Sorry if you understood what he meant, but I thought that you might not have.

Race is irrelevant. Only your attributes matter.
Each race has good and bad combinations of attributes.
Choose one where you have high perception and intelligence as a primary group and regular perception and memory as a secondary group, in that order of importance and leave charisma as last.
Your attributes determine how fast you skill stuff. And you can skill any race ships you want no matter what race your char is.

Nipicking: Race is relevant. While roleplaying only, that's true, and there's not much roleplaying arround, but it has this little relevance.

I found the minmatar to be pretty good. you can tech yourself to have high int/mem (faster learning skills) and also have the ability to fly all frigates (plus all the prerequisites to learn both cruiser and destroyer) upon character creation if you should so wish. however, be warned, your perception and will are going to suffer in doing this.
of course the other races can probably do the same, i've not explored it all thoroughly yet.
i just went for the coolest looking ships, tbh ========================================== Passive target lock is my friend. i swear by it. others swear at it. |

When u choose a race the only determining points in doing it, is the actual picture (that means how you appear in the channels) which in the end has no relevance (althoug for me it counts :) hey but that's just me); and the second point is the starting atributes and skills.
The second argument is a rather important one. In my opinion the best character that does it all is a starter achura monks from caldari.
Here's a page with all starter attributes for all races and bloodlines Starter Atributes
