Seems like some good action happening from the ex-[ZIPIT] lads. Note to others: Their 6 battleship gang can absorbe sentry-fire indefinitly from what I've seen.
*watches video*
Seems like Ostingele is as hot as ever :-)
Due to some very nice weather coupled with my ISP "upgrading" my connection (read: random continual internet disconnects in prime-time from 8pm to 4am) I'm currently classing myself as an "Absent Resident" of Agoze. When these two problems are sorted I'll be back and I hope to be a movie-star one day :-)

Guess I will take full responsibility for the awful losses here. I was the one to give the one bad order mentioned here, but please add to it that I also said to disengage if things looked bad.
I was blown up the 1st minute right after s33ker went down and only issued that order when no targets were being called on either team speak or gang chat anymore.
There were a number of things that went wrong and that was all it took to for the turbies, who were better prepared for us then we were for them, to claim an easy victory.
In the end it was I who started to gather people to pick up the fight that evening and as such IĈm solely to blame for the failure of the gang.
I like to add I had fun that 1 minute and a GJ to turbulent.

Regardless of who won it was a great fight. Kudos for arranging it and remember that it could just have easily gone the other way.
I'm also quite impressed at the conduct of all the players involved. Everyone was civil, gave each other a 'gf' in local afterwards and there was no smacktalk during the entire thing, or after. That's the way a fight should be.
I hope we have another fight that fun again.

Was always going to be a tough call going up against a single corp fleet with a hastily organized one from a multitude of different corps. We got slapped!
Some critical errors on our part I think. Lack of having everyone in comms, what appeared to be a failure to focus fire and a shortage of raw firepower.
Good win, gear replaced, see you soon in space.

Im curious about the effectiveness of ECM in this battle...
How many people on either side got jammed out and had it actually affect you?

I don't think there was that much ecm use tbh. I only heard one of us say he was jammed and only saw one ecm cruiser on their side although I may have been mistaken.

From the Placid Reborn mission statement: If the Federation continues to refuse to intervene to improve the situation either directly by use of the Navy or via the use of CONCORD forces, then Placid Reborn will strive to fill the vacuum by conducting patrols of the region.
Please, oh please conduct more patrols of the region Good fights like these should come more often in Placid.

Being away somewhere nice and hot = Yummy!
Seeing that your Corpmates had a ball in a brill fight and missing it all = Pants!
Sound like it was a fantastic night for Turby and pleasing to see posts staying on track!

It's ok, we'll arrange for you to sit in the virtual combat chair for a bit. Here's what you have to do: Look back in the thread and find the video, get on vent and randomly shout things like "roflol i tank t3h noobs", "oh carp i gotta warp out", "turbylerones taste great" "lurkle", "kill 'im, kill 'im!" "yarrr!" and other phrases while randomly clicking the screen.
Voila, it's like you're almost there. ----------- Join channel 'Turby' or die! (bring pie) Mission running carebears drop good loot. Probe one out today! |

If you want more fights, come with slightly fewer than 15 battleships. The more you want to field, the less likely you'll get combat. Pretty straightforward really.
I'd feel lucky that you got a stand-up fight at all yesterday to be honest.

It was 12 battleships we had, and numbers like that are needed because of the sentries. The less ships we have, the more time the sentries spend shooting each person and the more chance that we'll all go home in pods. As that battle went it was a nice fair fight. Given less ships but also no sentry fire, we might have still won, but having sentries fire on us forces us to have decently sized gangs. ----------- Join channel 'Turby' or die!
