Just a post to say GF to all the Anti Pirates last night that tried to out gank us, but we didn't have time to say GF in Local or you missed it in your Pods. :-)

Yeah, all hostilities aside, that was an amazing fight.
For those that aren't aware of the story, Turby was flying about various systems looking for trouble, killed the odd ship, nothing major though.
Shortly after we ended up on the Stacmon gate in Ostingele, and got reports of a large antipirate gang heading our way from Agoze. The ships were made up of several members of Nova Republic alliance, Gallente Mercantile Exchange, Placid Reborn, and many others (I dont have an exact list because I'm at work and can't check the killboard). We decided that we would engage them at the gate, as their spies would have relayed our movements to them if we'd have moved and at least at the gate we were all together and already in a position to lay down concentrated fire.
Due to good intel we already had a good idea of the types and pilots of the ships involved so we assigned primaries in advance and split the gang into two groups, one for long range targets and one for short range targets.
Shortly after there was a couple of ships warped in, a raven and a domi if I recall correctly, which were dispatched pretty quickly. They were either not a part of the main gang or there was a bit of disorganisation in their ranks.
Not more than 30 seconds after the first two battleships were destroyed the main fleet warped in. This was made up of mainly battleships, with cruisers, recon ships, etc.
We tried to get Jalia Kovac's pod after her recon ship got popped but alas we were too slow.
Due to some fantastic target calling and everyone following orders we eventually came out on top. We then started the can cleanup. There were so many cans it was unreal, and all the while we were looting, ships kept coming to and from the gate, needless to say they got popped too.
In the end we lost one battleship, and for ships we killed? Well, I've no idea. Lets just say it was a lot.
Can someone get tribs to pull off a total from the killboard?
Fraps of the battle was taken and will be hosted as soon as possible.

Very illuminating.
After my encounter with turby on the weekend its nice to see you can do more than jump >instadock even with 5/4 odds.

Funny that, your normally a gate/station huggin gang also from my last encounter where we had 6 bs, you had about 20 ships of mixed class, again we came off on top.
If we were a hide and dock corp then last night we would have as we were well out numbered and taking Sen Gun Fire, and with out intel we could have been gone and docked before anyone had even blinked an eye but where's the fun in that.
I'm sorry my corp mates wouldn't fight you, maybe there cruisers couldn't tank sen fire, while you picked them off as usual and expect them to hang around LOL.
So no flaming please this was a nice GF post.

Learn to count. (Check the loss/es you incurred from that enounter - 20ppl on a killmail? No? - Do you imply we can't focus fire? Think your point still has credibility? No. Good)

You outnumbered us and were all in bs. We aggroed ALL of you so you didn't have to tank sentries.
Get the facts before you post. One of my corpies said what can you expect from cheese eating surrender monkies? I think that was unfair of him to say so I wont say it

Sounds like they went easy on you then, you should count your selves lucky or they had bigger fish to fry. 
As for my facts being right, I wasn't around nore told so it can't have bothered them that much... like I said Fish baby Fish !

Sounds like a fun fight, I heard rumours of something going down but decided to pass. In retrospect, it sounds like I made the right choice.

You boys had a few ecm/nos domi's, a pilgrim and a geddon if im not mistaken, we had i believe it was 5 bs's including a machariel with no ecm at all so we didnt think we could win and since we had a machariel as well we didnt think it was worth the risk, after we had someone to come over in a scorp we tried to get you guys to engage us again but i guess you guys spilit up or logged off, i remember you were following us for a while in your pilgrim tho :)

Tribs, can you find out exactly how many ships were destroyed during that fight? And if possible something along the lines of: United Alliance - 3 mining barges and a velator, GME - 15 shuttles, Placid Reborn - 4 navitas's and a hauler. Something like that.

Still I heard there were losses on both sides, and not many Nova involved, so I'm not 'that' upset.
Amazed a fight happens though, normally in the time it takes to fit a fleet together, folks run away.

OMG...
Our FC was worryingly calm during that fight. It was a case of FC: "ship1 is primary, short range. ship2 is primary long range. ship3 is secondary short range" Someone: "ship4 is jamming me" FC: "ship4 is now long range primary, ship2 is now secondary"
We had a couple of guys have to warp out to regain cap and then return but it was always as short and concise as "This is XXX, warping out".
Vent is normally mayhem but for once it all came together right when we needed it.
Fraps recorded voices again instead of game sounds (I messed up the windows recording settings) but I won't use them because it recorded them in mono for some obscure reason. I'll get the vid up as soon as I can.
