Edited by: Sarkos on 03/10/2003 04:25:22 Edited by: Sarkos on 03/10/2003 04:24:37 The Curse Alliance Declaration
We of the separate and diversified corporations within the Curse Region, do hereby rectify and legitimize this document creating on this day the Curse Alliance. Comprised of many varied backgrounds and purposes, we bond ourselves together with this agreement to work for the betterment of the Curse Alliance in providing a more secure place of residence where all members are treated equally. Members corps will alter their corporation descriptions to indicate they are a proud member of the newly formed Curse Alliance.
Curse Alliance Governing Body
The Curse Alliance is governed by a council of CEO's in all member corporations. This Council sets all rules and ratifies any new policies.
Curse Alliance Statement of Policy
1) As long as a state of war exists between the Stain Alliance and the Fountain Alliance against the people of the Curse Alliance, the Curse Region will be closed to non members, as a measure of safety for the innocents.
2) Once a time of peace exists, the Curse Region will be open to any individual or corporation with sponsorship by a member corporation of the Curse Alliance.
3) The Curse Alliance does not plan on extending it's control over any pre-controlled sections of space, with the sole exception of any that have targeted us for attacks.
4) No member of the Curse Alliance shall endeavour to engage in the practices of piracy as defined by 'griefing'. This is defined as extortion of money, camping any spot for the definite purpose of destroying or attacking any vessel for no other reason than monetary or sheer mischief gains. Upon proven culpability of such piracy, the responsible parties shall be subject to SEVERE punishment and/or expulsion from the Curse Alliance. Furthermore, reparations for damages may be provided.
5) All members of the Curse Alliance shall treat any other member with due respect. Combat between members is forbidden and any grievance shall be brought before the Council for a decision.
6) Currently, the Curse Alliance is closed for membership. Once the war has ended and the region stabilized, memberships can be submitted for a vote before the Council.
Roster of alliance corporations will be forthcoming.

That is an extraordinary and bold presentation monsieur Sarkos; and laden throughout with bright promises and poetic potential well reminiscent of the heroic Oracle Voushod it has been my pleasure to speak with at length in times before.
Had it not been your voice and your name to make these statements and commitments I confess ętwould be difficult to grant them moment and even passing acknowledgement in times hereafter.
But here they are, clear words and clear promise and delivered by a man not given to lies or easy falsehood.
That canĘt have been an easy agreement to make.
That canĘt have been a slight sacrifice on the part of Curse.
That canĘt have been mere frippery bedecked in theatrical prose for sake of wide acclaim.
I await the list of corporations so sworn monsieur Sarkos.
I applaud the sentiment so made.
And I hope the dreams enshrined in words will know bright life in times to come.
Love and peace

A list of corporations in the alliance would be most helpful.

I've only had 1 dealing with a Sinister member, who politely but firmly asked me to move along as I was in a war zone. This was Teelmaster, and happened on the edge of Scalding Pass.
Of course, I cant say the same of Bach of Birds of Prey who podded me, a futher 10 jumps along, heading away from the conflict zone. Of course, my Badger must have been a serious threat to security. *sigh*
A list of corps, and who's doing what to whom in Curse would be greatly appreciated. Sforza

Congratulations Mr. Sarkos :) I wanted to know though, if there remains a state of war at this time then is it fine for us to stay well away from harm? I have been in curse a great while and havent seen a battle yet. And most of the People in Curse i have come across were not of the Curse alliance. So to these means where is the word of Curse then? Are we fine to stay away assuming i havent seen an alliance ship one? I bow before thee and seek the knowledge to the questions i have asked.

i think that since sinister all the sudden decided to be a non pirate group of lamers, that everyone should just leave them alone.
wait that's stupid.
the curse alliance will continue to be fighting sinister's enemies. |

In the past, Oracle has lost ships to Sinister, as has a lot of people. EVE encourages this, as many who saw that one trailer knows. Pirates add spice to a game, and help to add content.
With time though, many people look at what they are doing and seek a change. Sinister is one such group. Since joining us, in Curse, I find myself able to lose my grudge as I witness first hand the cooperation and dedication to the Curse Alliance by their members. They are at every batle against incoming Stain ships, they organize alliance mining operations, help many learn PvP skills, and have given 110% in any alliance function.
Seeing all of this, I have buried my grudge in the past, where it belongs. I am now glad and proud to have any of their members fly alongside of me in any operation. My respect for Sinister, their people and who they have now become has grown immensely.
Either free the slaves or we will come and get them.

Not really Homo. Its just once that you've seen that picture you can't really take anything that you say seriously. Well, to be fair you couldn't be taken seriously before that, the picture just compounds the issue.
You might want to change that anti-Sinister/allies of Sinister record too. No matter how many times you spin it - its still old.
We all know why you've got a bug up your ass about Curse. Now either come and kick us out or shut the **** up.

This is all smoke and mirrors! Don't fall for the Curse Alliance of Pirates lies!

They obviously fail to mention anything about corps that were established out there before this CA declaration was issued that are not members of their alliance. If they want to fight and try to keep out every corp that already travels out there and fight the Stain battlefront, then they will not likely be around very long. If the political map is correct in the so called claimed areas of space they are going to try to hold with no new alliance members then financial ruin and attrition through combat of both Stain alliance and people who travel in these areas will result in no time at all. I have heard through ship to ship conversations in travelling that area regualrly myself that the leader of this Curse Alliance is Leyla of Sinister. I would like to see a list of the leaders of the CA posted so there is some method of contacting and discussing with them some agreement to the corporations that are previously established in the so called HUGE area of space the political map says they are trying to hold (with a closed membership at that). Openly declaring hostile intentions to anyone travelling in the CA claimed space that is not a member of the CA is an open declaration of piracy. My corporation was established and travelling that area of space long before this declaration of theirs. We are not members of the Curse Alliance and so far to this point the CA members have been friendly and non hostile besides warning not to travel into the Curse region (which is obviously a much more practical area to claim and hold than the several hundred system area the political map shows them claiming). I can personally say I have traveled with and spoken to members of Sinister as well as other members of the CA who have taken no acts of aggression towards my corporation or myself. In fact they have all been mostly pretty nice folk to talk to including the Sinister members. If that continues to be the practice then my corporation has no problems with them and wishes them the best. If this declaration is going to mean they are going to start in open acts of aggression to people who travel that part of the map that are not currently in CA, then they will be facing a two front war with Stain on one end, and corporations who travel to areas they held previously and people wishing to travel these areas. In my opinion thatĘs suicide and they will likely not last very long. As a joint director of my corporation (we donĘt have a formal CEO) I invite the leaders of the Curse Alliance to get in touch with me in game to clarify and discuss this declaration and the intentions they have to previously established corporations and travelers in the map areas adjoining the Curse region.

We are at War , based partly on old vendetta's but predominantly through fear and greed. The SA fear our proximity but more importantly want to expand their tyranical hold on space. This isnt going to happen the way their meglomaninac CEO's envision so out comes DJ Flame'O Erectus to spin those records.

Looks like you just got the idea of the Curse Coalition. We are not seeking to monopolize the Curse region. The Coalition is fighting to keep Curse open to all and pirate free while the Curse Alliance of Pirates is fighting for rights to **** in the corners and call it theirs to control and do with as they please. In the case of the Curse Alliance of Pirates doing with as they please means locking everyone out so they can use the resources to support thier wars of aggression and pirate activities.
If I had to sum up the Curse Coalition I'd say we are a mutual defense coalition dedicated to keeping Curse open to all and free of pirates and their supporters.

Try to cruise around in Fountain for some time and you will become aware of their hospitality. You are full of words about us being pirates but still you have nothing to prove that we whould not honor our words.
Prior to this, Stain has never moved outside Stain to war with anyone. Some individual Stain corps have at times had their own skimishes but SA has not. Your reasoning demonstrates you are not in command of the facts. M3G4, RUS, RUS (2nd War), CA (MOO, RUS, SINISTER and Allies) are the 4 battles we have fought as an Alliance. Now I do not expect you to agree with this, but to me, I am kinda of proud of who we have waged war with. The above named is a lovable group of peaceloving people arent they? Dont lump SA into a group unless you know more about us. From day one, we have not expanded our territory.
Charging to enter... We do not charge to enter, nor do we charge to become a member of, nor do we have corps pay us for loot they get while in Stain. Have not, and we don't have any plans to start. All we have asked is that we be allowed to keep the riff raff out. Play by the rules when your in Stain and life is just peachy.
As for saying, or implying your group is/are not pirates. Ok, sure. But if you sleep with the dogs, you are bound to get Fleas. There are some very good, peaceful, and honorable corps in Curse that were there prior to the CA. It was not until the CA that blockading in HED-GP began by Curse Alliance members. I hope your alliance isn't now complaining its blockades have resulted in SA retaliation?
Disclaimer - I am a CEO of a Stain corp, but this is not meant to speak for all Stain members.
