As per the title, I feel like these could maybe find a home in the Eve game-play.
T2 destroyer - projectile based anti-drone/frigate screen (Yes I expect this one to be a pain to balance) Slots weighted towards mid Power Grid restrictive to push towards autos/pulses/blasters Bonuses to:
- Tracking Computers
- Rate of fire (Make it expensive on ammo/cap to run)
- local armour rep
- MWD speed
T2 frigate - Mini command ship (think on grid boosts to frigate roams) Large target lock amount (10 ships?) Large lock range High Scan Res Bonuses to:
- Can Fit skirmish warfare links
- Resistances
- Target Painters
- Shield Extender/Armour Plate HP (put T1 logi & light rep drones to use)
T2 battlecruiser - Huge Alpha, but with high reaction time for enemy Logi Fast align speed, very low tank and scarce mid/low slot layout Large lock range High Scan Res Bonuses to:
- Torpedo CPU cost
- Warp Speed and Warp Acceleration
- 500% Torpedo flight time
- 100% Torpedo flight speed
- 100% Torpedo racial damage type
- Inertial dampers

That BC would basically be artynado with mids taken now by sebos exchanged for built-in scan res and target range hull bonus. And dessies right now can deal with drones and frigs pretty good. Frigate CS sounds kind of interesting but also kind of meh. Invalid signature format |

All of these ships have been proposed, in more detail, elsewhere. In the more detailed posts, the roles you set for them have been deconstructed, trashed and otherwise shown as more of an issue with fitting the existing t1 ships. None of them have anything particularly interesting to bring to the table, other than the frigate command ship, which brings links to all fights ever done by anyone no space poor or terribad. That crazy bag FC with the silly things on the hull that shouldn't but just did. |

The BC would be so broken. There is no point to make the damage delayed if it's an alpha strike. Logi won't be able to rep because you can't over-buffer a ship before damage land. It might give time to OH resist mods but if the alpha/ships is high enough, it won't matter. Logi will lock, stagger reppers and hope they might land one between 2 hits because the other side will surely make the effort to sync the volleys. |

If you propose new ships you hyave to consider one for each empire unless you talk pirate faction, but those are not T2 so...
Besides that your wishes a re bit out there for no reason, ship creation caters towards a role neede, not just because you think its cool, you personally want to fly such a ship or like the look etc...
You figure out which role is missing define a ship type and then go into details or an empire divison of said role. Just throwing some values out there that have no grounding besides your bias is terrible and non productive.
So 'No' for the general suggestion.
In detail, Assault BC are the T2 BCs you are wanting for example. Command ships are there and do not need frigate size, especially when they get pushed on grid. And the destroyer ... don't get me started. Are you sure your issues aren't elsewhere ?! |

When you stop and take a step back to look at it properly, we really have nearly run out of new roles for ships to fill, haven't we? |

sounds like you just want a super tanky insta locking frig to assign drones to at gate camps... cause that's the main thing something wiht those bonuses would be used for. |

To be honest, I feel like it's more of a question of "do the circumstances now provide a need for some new role?" rather than "do we have enough roles filled or to few?" The game is constantly changing, so it would be fair to assume that at some point a new role maybe needed later, even if not now. That said, I can sympathize somewhat with those that argue that having only one tech 2 dessy seems a little lacking.
In that example, we would need to determine if there is a role relevant to today's Eve (or maybe even possible near future) that a different design tech 2 dessy can fill that none of the current dessies or other similar ships can provide for. |

Theres three classes I can see that I would like created, but that would be a pain to balance.
A second class of t2 battlecruisers, based around heavier support, either as heavier RR platforms or as truely nasty stand-up EWAR platforms. Either case gives a battleship or capital fleet a better punch for the pilot count.
A fleshing out of the disruption battleship line, with more ships similar to the t1 scorpion and geddon, but utilizing the racial EWAR, and combat battleships to fill to 2 combat, 1 attack, 1 disruption per race.
A t2 destroyer line which pushes the range of small guns even further than t1, but which has the -50% ROF penalty back. That crazy bag FC with the silly things on the hull that shouldn't but just did. |

On T2 Destroyers. Frigate grade command ships. With small ship WHs, burner missions and such having a command vessel for that level would be good. Maybe limit to one link but boost that link significantly.
Otherwise one Tech2 ship that is in dire need of being added is a Khanid Innovation Battleship. |

I have long been a supporter of micro command ships based on T2 versions of the newer destroyer hulls.
Absolutely one command link, maximum. I'm not sure about "significantly" boosting that link, but it's maybe not unresonable. Otherwise (and I kind of like this better but it may be unbalanced) prohibit fitting links on them but instead give them new hull bonuses that amplify the effect of your various "warfare" skills (e.g. Armored/Information/Siege/Skirmish).
So a T2 Algos might look roughly like this :
Micro Command Ships Bonus: 5% bonus to Armor Repairer amount 2.5% bonus to the effects of pilot's Armored Warfare and Skirmish Warfare skills
Gallente Destroyer Bonus: 10% bonus to Small Hybrid Turret tracking speed 10% bonus to Drone hitpoints and damage
Role Bonus: 100% bonus to being a CreoDron-colored Algos. |

We could argue ABC's are t2 in many ways already to start. Just not officially. T2 resists lack...but it gets 3 rig slots. We can argue what is the better deal there.
And torp ABC died on sisi long ago. Naga was torps at first....and not many liked them. I knew some testers on sisi for this. It was at least in their case not a situation of well they didn't fit or fly them right. Many people tried and failed in fact. Then naga got 425II and it was night and day. And caldari finally had another BC to run besides drake. We caldari tend to see ferox only existing as bpo to aid in making command ships. About its only good use lol. |

As a starter for 10: Anti-support cruiser work. Crap at handling enemy frigates, great at popping cruisers. Perhaps heavy missiles with application bonuses to ensure damage gets to cruiser hulls but very limited on frigates, no damage pigeonholing either. High lock ranges and sensor strengths to counter ewar.
Something to shake up the current obvious primary meta.
It's be nice to have a proper class of anti support ships as opposed to support ships fighting support ships. |

I dont get why people say this when we still dont have full progression of existing roles in Destroyer, Battlecruiser, and Battleships both t1 and t2. There is plenty of room for ships to be added. Though I dont agree with the ops suggestions. |
