CCP, I'm not sure if you care about ~serious responses~ because I'm not sure if this was supposed to be serious or not Obviously you wanted people to have fun, but you also said it was a "training exercise".
From the point of view of a training exercise, I'm glad you guys are are out roaming and playing the game with the players. That's awesome, epic like I've never seen. I hope you're trying to get a serious view from the players perspective, what dealing with the overview looks like, what dealing with the bracket lag is like. How it feels to actually be in a fleet fight. i.e. while I hope you guys are playing your own game for fun, I hope you're trying to take something away from this.
As far as actually fighting in a fleet though. *shakes his head* no logi, multiple tank types, active and passive tanks mixed in. Not very "realistic" from a training exercise perspective (if you were even headed in that direction). Not to mention the unrealistic ship fits, T2 trimarks worth 5x the cost of even the faction ship hull? Now, from the perspective of having fun, I don't really mind the uber setups, and setting a limit of T1 or T2 items (no faction/etc), I don't really have a problem with it. It makes it more fun for the players to kill a 5b isk ship. But your fleet composition needs a lot of work
From the point of view of just having fun, interacting with the players. GREAT SUCCESS! I wish I would have logged on a half hour earlier. I got on just in time to see the PL titans :) and I was a good 30 jumps out. Again, it's good to see CCP playing their game. I know there's jokes about that, and you usually come back with "we do, you just don't know who we are", but I think there's a general sentiment among the players that you don't -really- play. You might be out there experiencing some parts of the game, but it doesn't feel like you're actually involved in the large fleet fights or big alliances or the hulkageddons or the piracy. Generally the things Internal Affairs wouldn't want you participating in because it might hurt some feelings. Seeing you out getting in a big fleet fight is a welcome sight, even if your overview settings leave a lot to be desired |

Potamus Jenkins wrote:from the kills im seeing, the ccp fleet looked all buffer armor fit?
Most of them were because the ship choice for most dictated armor. However, there were several raven navy issues and nightmares mixed in. Overall, yes, the fleet was fairly uniform, but still mixed.
PS, I hope this happens again soon so I can get into the mix :) |

Why do such a thing. You ban players for doing stupid things / Bring in Incursions so Plex Prices go sky high this game is dying and its gona die soon at the rate your going. Feed big alliances. Humm didnt you guys already do that with BoB dont go down the route again.
I'm sure the 50 or so PLEX that dropped will have a GIGANTIC impact on your market....
Also, this isn't anywhere NEAR what happened with BoB, go back and learn some history. CCP is playing their own game again, if you want the game fixed at all, let them see first hand where the problems are. Telling them not to play is only going to make things worse. |

There were at least 3 Guardians on the grid of theirs; I had ECM on them a good amount of the time. They managed to do quite well with them though.
Missed those, still, that isn't very many logi for their fleet size is it? I thought CCP had around 100, or is my number too high? |

Next it'll be "CCP DIDN'T ROAM IN MY TIMEZONE, JUST FEEDING EUROS" Im not a high sec dweller and i think this event was Bull. As do most of the people Im talking too about it right now. Sit around tama till you get hot-dropped by large alliance and give them more wealth is crap PR. If it wasn't for that LOOT this event could have been brushed off as just fun. But the loot makes it a slap in the face to those the could not participate. Its down right insulting. Basically a rigged lottery where the winners were already picked even though everyone has a ticket.
Yep, confirming Euros got all the loot |

Aye, no more of this, please. People will be happy enough to get on a CCP killmail.
The amazing thing is most of the people who came to this fight probably weren't the least bit concerned with the loot. I know when I first saw what was going down, my only thought was "CCP Killmail?!? ". I didn't care at all about the loot, not one bit, I don't PVP to get rich. A plex dropping? I can earn that in a few hours. Heck, I can probably earn it faster staying in my home system ratting than flying all the way out to the fight and trying to scoup one then flying back, certainly safer. It's not like CCP ships were dropping officer mods left and right. I might be wrong here, but I'd be willing to bet all the isk in my wallet (not a lot FYI) that PL supers are rich enough they don't care one bit about the loot drop either.
The people that were out there, for the most part, are the ones that want fights and killmails. I'm sure there were some that were out there to try to make it rich, but these weren't the big alliances, those guys are already rich, they own supers ffs. It really shows the difference between those complaining about how much isk was injected and those that want more goodfights with CCP. |

RougeOperator wrote:
So you agree that loot should not have been in their ships to begin with.
I'm saying that the argument that CCP just fed isk to big alliances is pretty stupid. Players don't bring motherships and titans to get a few PLEX that dropped. I wouldn't even bring a battleship for that, if the battleship gets lost you get set back several hundred mil, kinda pointless when the items dropping were only worth that much. Again, they were only fit with T1/T2 items, not billion isk officer mods. The loot in the cargohold was mostly a PLEX or two and a few AUR items. You might find this hard to believe, but most players in the giant alliances don't get pumped enough to drag out every ship they own over the low odds that they'll be able to grab a plex being dropped. |

Actually I was asking you for feedback on how the system should be improved... It's an honest question as we want to be able to improve upon what we do. Who is this "we" you're referring to just so I'm clear?
I too would like to know who this "we" is, because it certainly isn't me. Also, before you start accusing everyone of just being on the goons side, or PL's side, or whatever. Look at my alliance ticker. I'm not "on their side" so much as "I think you're argument is bad". I like what CCP is doing, I like that they are playing their own game, and from my perspective, keep the loot or don't, I couldn't care less, but saying that it's all going to "the big alliances" is, again, a bad argument.
As for suggestions for you CCP. Like I said above, I don't care what you do loot wise, I thought today was fine, especially limiting the modules to T1/T2 and thus making sure 3bil isk officer mods would not be dropped by CCP. You can't make everyone happy. Next time roam in some other space or something, -try- to make it fair, but look at the majority of the feedback here. I think that most of Eve is happy to see you out playing the game, interacting with players, providing some new content, and generally shaking things up a little. Good work, keep it up! |

GIRFUY!
But you aren't in PL, or Goons! how did you get those PLEX's, you aren't even in an alliance, much less one of the gigantic ones. Everyone here knows only those alliances were supposed to get the epic loot! You better turn that loot back over to CCP so they can redistribute it to the correct owners! |

I too sent a mail. I requested more events like this, CCP playing the game AND player interaction \o/ Here's hoping I can make it to the next one. |
