Still according to said cheery smiley weather people (who make that annoying smack noise when their talking) Today was the worst of it.
Rejoice fellow sun-haters for the clouds are back, may an almighty storm clear the humidity, and strike some eejit who decides to play golf. Thank you!

Seriously though, everyone I've spoken to hates this weather. So why do the weather forecasters always look so damned cheery when they are saying "oh what a glorious day it'll be tomorrow. Even hotter sunshine! Record temperatures! Tomorrow's weather will be hot enough to melt iron, aren't we lucky?"
Death to weathermen.
Ahh you haven't lived until your wearing shorts in 120F weather and get your car that's been baking for the last 4 hours in direct sunlight. O did I mention I have leather seats?

Surely not, does anyone else here find this sort of living atrocious?
Personally I like to be able to walk from point A to B without sweating like a pig on heat 'in heat'.
I'am currently growling out of my office window while doing my best impersonation of Odo from DS9. I will live in my bucket until my will has distorted this weather for the proverbial worse.

I live in england and welcome the heat. We dont get much of it but lately we've been up to 30 degrees so its all good, id rather melt than freeze. =]
Winter sucks in england. I hate cold.

Actually, it's probably the combined heat that's been kicked out from all our comps and/or laptops frome playing EVE that has created such a ridiculous hot streak here on earth. So, since I know none of us will quit playing, I guess we're stuck with it.

Edited by: Tekka on 20/07/2006 01:39:51 I love summer. I love winter. I hate the "in between"
Summer I can go to the beach and throw sand in peoples eyes, Wakeboard into boats, and Jetski (though the 1yr old piece of **** is broken)
Winter I can go snowboard (and build a snowman in the middle of a ski trail) and stuff.
Spring and fall are just bleh times.

It's becoming more prevalent, cars tend to have it as standard now, but we're just not used to having summers this hot for this long so there's not really been a great need for it.
Looks like thats changing now. A friend of mine bought a mobile AC unit and constantly tells me how cool he is. Tosser ________________________________________________________ In space no one can hear you scream unless you have voice comms |

this morning at 6 o'clock it was nice weather. I only had to get out of my bed very fast and close the windows because it was raining in...
But at least it wasn't that hot anymore. But when I look out of my office atm I see a blue sky... not good. But still, it's not as hot as the previous days ---

My torment at the hands of that insufferable heat has finally ceased. I can now pour myself from my bucket and coalesce into a more solid form. Hurrah!!
Roll on winter is all I can say, I have been more crabbit in the last week than I have been in years. Apologise to all who crossed my path over the last week! ;)

I work in a McD's (yeah lame I know, but at least I help run the place and got it to finally make money). Our HVAC is the worst air-con in the world (I can state this with faith that I'm right). It's actually hotter in our kitchen than it is outside. And the owner won't let us replace it - ú40,000 equipment & installation costs ftl.
It's worst around the cooking equipment (everything we use is 150 degrees+, most stuff is around 200 and one bit is 321), and average air temp in the kitchen is around 38 (of course the a/c on the dining area isn't so bad). Obviously we let everyone have cold drinks and stuff, but it's bloody harsh when it's busy - almost like carrying a soggy teabag around in your pants all day.
I actually like the hot weather, but I absolutely detest working in it. Hot weather is for beer gardens, bbqs, sunbathing and getting drunk. Not for work!
Btw, the actual reason I'm posting is to let ppl know about european H&S law on heat - anywhere above 30 celcius and you should be allowed 5 minutes an hour to take on liquid and cold water should be provided by the employer.
I got a jar or dirt!

Try Lousiana. It gets been down to a balmy 93 when the thunderstorms roll through and the humity dips to 75%. Come vacation. Spend money. Loot a bit. Then Leave.
It's not even August yet. We'll be visiting ya'll come August I'm pretty sure.
And, most importantly, it's not Texas.

Yeah the only problem with that is sometimes all the storm does is break stuff and put half a million people out of power for the high of 103F the next day. That was one hell of a storm. I'm just glad I still have power, but during the storm seeing large trees bend half to the ground is a little disconcerting.

LOL. The forecast for me today is 46 and possible thunderstorms. 50%+ humid and 46.
It doesn't even drop below 31-32 at night usually. It's been 40+ for a month+, and will stay that way for awhile.
Enjoy your nice cool days.

The worst thing about this damned heat are the bloody weather girls telling us what a beautiful day we have in store. *******s. I can't stand this heat for much longer! *Cries* I've been having to change my boxers once a day! The inhumanity.
At least when it's cold I can turn on a radiator or add layers (or not bathe). All I can do now is turn on a fan to circulate the warm and stale air around the room. Woop-de-*******-doo.
And the god damn fecking flies/mosquitoes. We don't have them in the winter either. And flees too! Noah was a *****, he saved all the wrong bloody species.
