For those who have missed the plot:
My name is Shadowblayde. I'm a Vherokior and I stole some guys ore then felt very guilty and gave him the money I got. Went on Galnet and discussed it with everyone. I saw the error of my ways Decided to repent and not do it again.
Two days ago I joined a new corp. I won't give you the name of the corp or their alliance but you can check my employment history if you wish to do so.
Today they kicked me out. The evemail I got was:
"I'm sorry Shadow, but orders have come down from the alliance that we cannot keep a self-confessed ore thief in our corporation - the negative attention you would attract would be dangerous and they also cannot take the risk that you would turn on us."
No questions or requests for explanations.
Just kicked out.
No forgiveness, no second chances.
Is ore theft the worst crime in Eve ? How many times has someone podded someone else and we say "that's life".
I saw a guy being attacked yesterday in low sec space by two guys with skulls in the overview. I asked my corp mate if she thought I should go help him. "No" she replied. "Only if the victim was a corp or alliance mate or if the aggressors were enemies" she continued. And yet it was people like her who judged me and decided I was guilty of an unforgivable crime. I stole ore once and felt guilty. Gave the guy money to compensate him for his loss - ask him. His name is DugHawk.
The corp CEO said "I can't forgive you because I don't condemn you - it is simply beyond my control. I do wish you all the best, though."
Why is it beyond her control. She was the CEO ? All I ask is a second chance. Is that too much to ask ?
How many times have YOU been given a second chance ? That is all I ask.

Originally by: Pezzle If you seemed sincere in your want of forgiveness things might be different. You do not seem convincing to me. In one breath you claim to feel bad for the person you robbed, and then you say anything not nailed down is up for grabs. So you sent him money, was it more or less or equal to the value of the theft? Did you ever offer an apology?
When I started the thread, no I wasn't but I must have felt guilty to give him money in the first place. By the end of the thread, I was convinced of the error of my ways.
When I transferred the money to him, I included an apology.

I have decided to hand in my pilots licence and go back home and be a farmer.
Perhaps corporations should change their thought processes from zero tolerance. After all, a pirate can work his way back from a negative security setting by doing good. How can I prove my repentence except by being given a second chance.
My final words:
Judge not lest ye be judged Amarr Scripture
To err is human, to forgive divine Gallente play

I am sure if you look a bit further you will find a corporation and alliance who do not give a damn about your past... Then stick to what you believe is right, and this initial nonsense might in time be forgotten.
Elsebeth Rhiannon - Will Gradient and Namtz'aar k'in give me a second chance ?
