Unfortunately this isn't WoW, and the game isn't built to protect you from doing stupid things. Your implant petition will get answered eventually, but shooting the can is your own fault. 99% of us here really don't want EVE to turn into the SIMS in Space. Thanks.

Don't file petitions for things that are your own fault. This is a place where your actions are your responsibility no matter the repercussions or inconveniences they may cause you.
One reason petitions DO take so long is the system gets clogged by petitions such as yours which are not valid petitions.
That being said, welcome to Eve.
Also, there are a billion different things to do in this game, so if you get bored doing only one thing, its no surprise.

When i got to the WoW part...it all made sence to me.
If a GM has to help u everytime u screw up, i'd be whining about petition que's all day.
Havent u noticed how many WoW players lately joined eve? Havent u noticed the Petition System being flooded with most likely stupid questions (trust me, they DO exist) .
This game is 13+ aswell. Just saying..dont cry.

I have this urge to say "L2P" but i will resist. What i will say is, When i was playing wow for a few months the gms in there were absolute crap, never responded to petitions about server problems or the like, just got the same BS copy paste reply.
Playing Wow made me appreciate how good eve as a game is, and how good the gm's are, i mean i've actually been able to talk to a real person! 
Anyway it was your own fault for blowing the can up, should be more careful in the future.

I had a bugged mission last night. GM answered virtually immediately and did what he could.
Generally the few petitions I've raised have been dealt with quickly. I do make a point of trying not to raise a crap petition.

No GM on any MMO will help you with things like the angel strike can you blew up.
Now if they just hadn't spawned, period, that's another story ( had that happen on a mission once, only 20 marines spawned instead of 30).
Also, some people with extra marines/prisoners/whatever, sell them in the markets, so check there for extras.
Angel strike's an awesome mission set btw, hope you didn't act rash and fail it manually..
And no, cans shouldn't be invulnerable. There's so much abuse that would stem from that that it just wouldn't be funny. Be careful with what you target, and rename important cans.

I think the GMs are taking their sweet time answering your petition becauase you filed twice on the same issue.

No sympathy. GMs are already very busy with an overloaded queue, and reimbursement is what they get to last.

@OP:
The customer service in EQ, WQ2, CoH, GW, DAoC, JumpGate, WOW, Shadowbane, EnB, AO, among many other MMOGs would not even look with thier lower backside at any such a petition.
