very nice fight, ASCN have done a very good job sticking togather and taking out efficently the opponent ships, in particular to take out the flycatcher before to stick on the cerb.
a bit of blame to MC, good fight but i was expecting a minnie recon to counter ASCN strategy also they focused too much on the wrong target and that in the end costed the victory.
anyway very good tournament for MC and i think they can be pretty satisfied by their performance.

We got 4 fights in our initial group, then three more awesome fights in the final. I have no regrets and it was freakin' awesome.
We thought we could alpha strike the Deimos, so did most people but he was too tough. If we'd switched to the EOS a bit earlier, yeah, we probably would have won. The other issue was that I had to reload my torps right when the EOS hit about 20% armor.
Congrats to ASCN. You guys deserved it and it was great tactics. Good luck in the final! -

I agree.. although our fight against FA was a helluva comeback too..
ISD killed our frig and dest.. and FA Astarte was blasting our zealot which was into structure... And we came back to win it...

Edited by: Zarlak on 23/07/2006 21:04:03 very well played by ASCN, and also very good effort from MC, tbh i wanted MC to spank BOB, nevertheless the match was such an entertainer, by far the best fight put up yet :)
Edit: The snowball launcher really added the humour and good feeling to the fight :) Your signature is too large. Please see the Forum Rules for the limits - Serathu ([email protected]) |

The biggest disappointment for me was that the team I was betting on had a Celtic fan in it :/

Believe it. For one thing, Kozak was in the finals in the last tourney for KAOS with an almost identical setup. The other members of the ASCN team were hardly noobs either. -

Do people Still think we are a bunch of carebears? You dont sucessfully defend 3 regions of space and 18 stations without being good at PVP ya know!
Grats to MC amaaaaazing fight, i enjoyed every second of it! Shame we lost the final, but BoB were fantastic, they have my respect

I got to give it to MC. They fought a great fight and going close range after a nossing setup, that takes balls. As for our eos. It was never a target before and we lowered it's tank a bit to give it more firepower. It proved shaky gamble. We reinforced it's tank for the BoB match and it worked fine.
It's nice to come out of the tournament, even as loosers, only loosing 2x Eris's and gaining 6x CNR's and 5x Chimeras. I am very happy with my teammates. We couldn't have done it without everyone doing thier part.

Please do enlighten us all, oh master strategist, of what awesome tactic you would have used to best the ASCN team? And i mean beat, not stalemate like the final, thats an easy call

As I was visiting my parents, I forced my family to watch this fight and put dinner on hold (Birthday Boy perogative).
Let me just say that even though they hadn't heard of EvE before, after I explained the two sides of the EvE-TV client (MC on one and ASCN on the other), what the three bars beside each ship meant, and how the ships went from biggest to smallest... well... they were nearly as excited as I was.
I never thought I would hear my father yell, "OH - HE's going into HULL!"
This fight was an awesome moment in my gaming life. Hat's off to both teams. __________

well done ;)

Tisk... MC played them a hell of a lot better then BoB did imho.... BoB didnt do anything but scratch shields... MC would've had that eos and the fight if they'd been able to land on more volley (reload ftl). I bet ASCN sweated like pigs for a while there.
Hell of a fight!
I would have loved to see MC vs. BoB though (full respect and hats off to ASCN nevertheless), I have a gut feeling that MC would have taken the tourney if that would have happened. Ow well anyone have 100 bil. to put out a contract on BoB? :D

Hm? Ive never claimed to be a master strategist, im merely saying that i expected more from the MC. I mean in the last tourney you claimed that you didnt have enough time to prepare which is fair enough. Well, this time you did and yet you lose to an industrial alliance? Dont you guys pvp for a living? Oh well.. ______________

Does the fact that MC has three outposts make us an industrial alliance as well? -
