That had to be a game HAX, just ask Dalman from MASS, BoB had the lowest DPS in the whole tournament, and Tyraxx's strategy was unbeatable and clearly the best in the whole tournament, just ask him.
And BoB won with the heart of their team CTD.

He retracted it, or at least made some ammends later inthe thread. But you do get tierd of the constant stream of alt, and some mains who claim such things. Even though BOB have been my enemy since the day they were formed...
I'm sticking to my steroids theory.
What was amazing in that fight is not really that BoB managed to tank the 4 ships but more they were able to dish out enough damage to take down that command ship. I noticed that IAC got hung up on that station looking thing. Perhaps that allowed the Raven to deal a bit more damage than it would on a moving target. Who knows, who cares. Cheers for the entertainment. Was a great match.

I don't know if there were any teams that didn't have implants, but if so, I would think its indicative of a poor allience, who can not support implant sets for 5 players.

I think it's more to do with the balance of certain implants, not the cost of buying a full set.
Also, why the hell weren't target painters banned as they come under ewar? Seemed a bit daft to remove T2 ammo (when it was really precision missiles causing the trouble) only to give pilots the same effect by using 2 modules on a support ship.

The motherships given out at from the tournament were deposited into a station hangar, so BoB have their mothership in a station unless they have undocked it.

You mean this time they're not allowing them to be docked this time? I know regular motherships have to be built at a POS, but I could've sworn that with the first tourney the mothership was spawned inside a station until the owner undocks it for the first time, at which point it can't be redocked.

The prize for the Tournament is like 30-40B? I forget how much a Mothership costs, so maybe I'm too high. Investing a few Billion into your team seems reasonably well balanced with the potential gain. It is a gamble and a fun one.
A lot of people have your sentiment but I think a better solution is to just have different types of tournaments. Leave the Wyvern for the Alliance grand prize. Perhaps a 5v5 inty fest where the prize was like choose several inty or just an ISK prize. A 5v5 T1 no implant fight would be fun too. There is nothing saying this is the only tournament allowed... the posibilities are endless.

BOB Vs IAC, semi final match.
To begin with you could call this a rivalry match because of some forum argueing going back and forth about IAC throwing a match, and some betting scamms.
Anyways, to make this short.
The two sides start the fight. BOB kills the IAC destroyer quickly. While IAC have troubles killing the BOB destroyer.
However, the BOB cruiser pilot crashes, who was at the time, the logistics ship of the team, or so was said.
Bob, quickly lose Gunnstar's flycatcher, then TWD's Ishkur. The cruiser pilot loggs back on, but IAC does not aggree to let him back into the arena.
So its DpPreecher, and Kayo, fighting the 4 remaining IAC ships. It looks like BOB are done from the tourny.
But with some amazing tanking, mixxed in with some nice firepower, the 2 BOB pilots manage to kill Tyrrax Thorrk who was flying a Absolution. After Jim Raynor dies in a Navy Raven. As well the Rapier of IAC is taken down in the last minute of the fighting.
So in the end, it was a awsome come from behind victory, and the best match to watch.

It wasn't really a come from behind victory because the numbers kind of lie.
I don't think the BoB CNR or Vulture were ever in any real trouble. The Vulture was tanked beyond belief and I couldn't really do any damage to it, I was hitting for like 77 per cruise, and he was setup to shield xfer to Kayo without much problems..
We had huge cap problems, we pretty much all ran out of cap, I couldn't remote repair anyone after my 800s dried up, Tyrrax was all out of cap, Uuves Rapier went try giving my CNR all his cap and he burned up his 800s..
We were kind of sitting ducks after that, Tyrrax couldn't shoot anymore, I couldn't rep anyone, it was only a matter of time, Absolution went down, leaving it Vulture/CNR vs CNR, obviously can't win that, Ishkur and Rapier had no offense fitted and were also sitting ducks.
**** happens I guess. If I learned one lesson its if you are going to go up against a very very well tanked gang like BoB fielded, you better have a tank that can be sustained as long as theirs.. we sacrficed cap recharge for firepower and it wasn't enough, thus we lost.
