I think CCP should add the collectible card game into eve as a "minigame". It woudl be basically a win win for CCP. If setup properly CCP could add awsome content (card game tournaments anyone?/ looting and trading of cards anyone? ) and make the actual card game more popular with it.
In fact CCP would not even have to create the content really since the rules and the basics for the card game are apparently already existant so it would just be using of ingame existing picture with text and a small programm to run the game. Maybe give us the posibility to play it eve wide with other players as well =)

What i would mostly want is being able to find the cards all over the eve universe =P
As loot for example or in ship wrecks or wherever or even as mission rewards.
As an example for this to work extremly well i would like to mention final fantasy(the regular not mmo). They implented a card game into the game (at least once not sure about the other parts) and it was EXTREMLY popular and succesful.

Just my opinion. I dislike the idea a great deal.
It wont affect you at all if you don't like it. It is not like it would change the game. It would just add loot for you if anything. The nice part is that it would never be something required to do.
My idea would be to be able to buy a "basic" set and then be able to loot rarer cards. That way the loot cans would not have to be clustered with the cards=)

I don't think it would hurt the immersion at all if done properly. But that is if it is done properly.

If it was a very popular game throughout the universe the chance would be slim, but it would be there. I don't see an immersion problem.

I think it would actually improve the sales on the CCG by a load since people could try it in game and learn to love it and of course then would want it as a real game as well.
And i also don't think it should "disturb" current content.
Adding other games and stuff like that would also be something on "my list". Stations should have stuff like that... it would be so awsome to play some funny games with friends while sitting on a station.
