Hey all you scumbags and pirates out there, I was wondering how often you guys recive hatemail? I myself have gotten a total of 3 mails from people (2 from the same guy). I actually just recently recieved one having stopped piracy about a month ago. It was in a different language.
To any former pirates, do you guys still recive hatemail, and if so how often?

I am active and I get a hell of a lot (maybe 1 in 5 innocent victims). I even get hatemail from the forums

Not sure you how you find prey... i think i need to find a new region myself. It was good in the beginning but now it sucks.

Edit: And about hate mails... none. But a few mails asking me how to become a pirate.

Personally, I don't remove alot. I dont know if it's because people dont realise what happens to them as my methods are...unconventional...or wether they just cant be arsed. In about 3 months of piracy around oursulaert - whine central - I've only got 3 bits of hatemail. 1 escalated into this thread and the rest where just 'Omfg you ****!'

Nope I actually translated it after about an hour of work (IRC 4TW) and it ment "Prepare to Die - You are an ******* -)"

Killed a new player today is a very badly set up Brutix, after his initial outburst of irritation (understandable) we got to talk a bit, gave him some tips on how to play and fit a ship and explain that yes, a smaller ship can indeed take out a bigger one.
So no, I don't get hatemail, it's all about how you act.

that is open to debate, I was always a nice pirate, low ransoms (rarely got paid), helpful advice, and friendly. Smacktalk is for the weak.

I get hate mail, smack talk, treaths, small fleets trying to get revenge (the nub wasnt kidding, whats worse, the pirates he sendt after me I yousto fly with..which made it very easy to evade their tactics ^^) and my PERSONAL favourite, death treaths!
I love piracy!
Oh yeah, that incident with the pirate coalitions board, was revenge from some loser I podded at a gate aswell.

Ive recieved hate mail from about 4 or so different people, one guy sent me about 5 or 6 pieces alone, check my in game bio for the best one.

Definently agree. But it helps to spot the WoW kiddie pirates though.

My first hatemail was from my new buddy Eltigre, he was also my first smack convoer, first person to petition me, first person to make forum threads about how cool I am, etc.
I don't think he likes me

I lost count of the ammount of hatemail i used to get when pirating, some of it can be found here under the smack section.

LoL - ian gets some of the funniest hatemail!
I get plenty but it's ALWAYS from n00bs. The more experienced players I blow up either say "gf" or nothing at all, how it should be.

I once caught this newb baiter outside Kisogo station. Had a nice Standard M in the container. Being in an AF at the time, I took it. He targets me and demands his stuff back.
Mind you, he's like 6KM away from the can, which is placed at the undocking area, in a T2 Fitted Maller.
Then conversation goes on and on, tries the "im trying to give it to my friend" excuse.
This guy has been playing almost as long as I have, but Im a few days older, and I end the convo with:
"YOuve been playing almost as long as I have. You should know that you can DOCK and wait for HIM to dock then give him the crystal"
His reply?
XXXXX > jesus, go f*** urself u stupid c***....convo XXXX if u dont believe me...thnx goodbye
20 minutes later, I return to station, there is another can, another Standard M.
Though it doesnt qualify as hate mail, and I have recieved about 1 or 2, but Im not a pirate. Im a good guy.

i always get ppl replying asking for the ship back, saying that they know it was a mistake i blew them up and such.
so i reply "no i wanted to blow your ship yarr."
So i normally get the hate mail next :)

This was MONNNTHHHSSS ago
but I remember it clearly. I was in HROLT and was flying around Kisogo, back when there was gang flagging. Had a few newbies in my gang, since I was running protection for em from mean old theifs, and I warped into one belt, la-de-da, a Ferox flashing red.
So I swoop on in with my Armageddon, Scramble, Web and give him a few lashings of the Megapulses. Take him down to struct, maybe 75% and I convo him," Stop firing. "
he does and says the Ferox is something he just bought and cant afford to lose it. Me, being nice, didnt ransom, but I consulted my corp on what to do. let him go? Or Kill him
Guess you all know where this is going, with a resounding pop his ferox went boom, rewarding me with some T2 goodies, and instantly my Pvt Convo was filled wiht
"You ***hole, that was my new ship!"
"Those are my modules f**ker" etc, etc.
AND another time, one little man, named Noobman, evemailed me threatening to get CCP on me for 'stalking' him, when all I was doing was blowing him up when he was flagged to me and disrupt his exploit uses at the ice belt. Hehe.
Good times. But Im not Huzzah and a good guy, so no more fun stuff, *except 0.0 fun hehe*
