I went out for some PvP today in a Caracal. First shot I get a lowsec warning, click ok, and fire away, but the missiles don't go anywhere. They just float by my ship like a flare. The guy takes no damage, but I keep firing, only to have them float by my ship. I warp out, wait for the timer to run down, dock, and come back. The missiles are still there floating, and I have the same problem.
I fly to a diff station, dock, relog, change ships, relog, refit, undock, dock, relog. Same problem. I can't shoot anything, and 1hr later my old missiles are still floating in the same spot. It's not clientside, as the people in my gang see them floating there as well and me doing nothing.
I petitioned it, but does anyone know how to fix this? My char is useless except for ECM.

Woah, are like.. fighting in Jita or something? Pretty major lag :)

Seen that happen before on SiSi. Heard of it on TQ too, but never not being fixed after dock.
No idea what to do if you've tried all that. Petition in harassment? Put offender as "missiles"

I've encoutered it serveral times now. All you can do is wait till DT. It is completely a server issue, therefore there is nothing that you can do from the client side to fix it. It's rare but it does happen.
You might as well take this oppertunity to spell out some offending messages in Jita for all to see.
...and yes, we do sell and deliver ammo. 425 Express Delivery is available upon request, please see Hans Gates and Marcus Grisbius regarding this option. |

Yeah, this is definetly a server-side issue. An old corporation I used to be in had this problem often; it only occured in one system that we spent some of our time in, and only happened to certain members of our corp. Hopefully it won't plauge you forever in that system as it did for those members of the corp. ;)

its happened to me before
and i would like to confirm that there is nothign you can do at all
period
unfitting your launchers doesnt work
nor does fitting a different kind of launchers
so my advice
fit up some rocketlaunchers
and use rockets for sky writing

I too have had this issue but in a Scorpion with cruise missiles.
It was on SISI in the presence of Sharkbait, I logged it and submitted a bug report, guess its just one of those weird things that happens now and again.
And just to confirm it will fix itself after DT. nothing u can do will fix it.
You can make pretty patterns in Space tho

Heheh... i remember when someone had this bug a few months back, they ended up making some pretty interesting art outside of the JU station.

I had it a while ago in my raven, during pvp.
Missiles were doing 1m/s or something. Not sure that my enemies were too scared of them.
I made a nice little circle out of them before I blew up.
