Now, instead of just fighting D2 + friends with your friends, you gotta fight D2 + friends as well as BoB ... and if you're lucky, your friends will stick around and back you up (I wouldn't count on it for some of them). Best chance you have is to go take the fight to them and show them that you are serious about not backing down and that you are just as determined as them. If you're lucky you may be able to get some amount of respect for it. Other option is to go to NPC stations and never undock again until they get bored. Worked for other alliances in the past. ----------

The issue here is not the fight this weekend. Win or lose, either way it's a game and it will be fun. This entire fiasco is inappropriate, insulting, and disgusting on all sides.

"Ok, I tried to post this in another thread and it got pounded. This is an honest and rational opinion about the situation. I hope that the forum mods don't see this as trolling and delete it. I am a member of GoonSwarm, but I am not a goon in the sense of the term. I didn't come from the SA forums, I'm here because I wanted a fun corp to play this game in and a friend of mine sponsored me in. As such, I don't tend to share the same sense of humor as most goons. While I do find much funny, and I do enjoy the company and comradery that I have enjoyed these past few months, there are some things that I find rather tasteless and tactless and this is most definitely one of those things. There should never be any disrespect for the dead. That having been said, I do question BoB's motives right now. There are two reasons for an assault upon GS: BoB is threatened by the rise of another strong power nearby or personal vengeance. The timing of this incident does seem to be a little convenient for D2 et al. If BoB truly does feel threatened by the uprising of a large force right on their doorstep, then they should treat it as such. To use this as a false pretense for war is, in my opinion, just plain disgusting. If this is in fact 100% about the passing away of a dear friend of the EVE community and the subsequential tasteless remarks made by a certain (or perhaps few) GoonSwarm members then that is truly just ridiculous. Yes, everyone should be made to be held accountable for their actions, but to become angry and swear for the ultimate destruction of an entire alliance for personal vindication, well, that my friends is quite possibly one of the most childish actions you can find in this game. If this truly is the reason for BoB deciding to attack GS, then all notions of BoB being high and righteous go out the window. If I were in the position of someone insulting a deceased personal friend of mine, I would be furious. But would I swear vengeance? No. I have more tact than that. I do not need to stoop to the level of immaturity of those who made the comment. If you want to come fight us because this is war and you need to maintain power then fine. Come fight us.
