Trying to use the actions of some as a blanket for all isn't right an you know it.
The irony is that this all started because BoB used the actions of maybe a dozen members maximum as a blanket for all of us.
We are not roaches, and we are not cancer. We are a simply group of people with similar attitudes who enjoy playing together. We mine, Rat, and shoot people like everyone else.
I don't see what this 'outside powerbase' is, everything we do ingame is ingame, the only outside influence to what we do in game would perhaps be buying timecards and sellign for ISK, but that is allwoed by CCP and anyone can do it.
The people who are truly disgusting are BoB with their campaign of hate.
Imagine a Christian corp, only Chrisitans are allowed to join, and they like to talk about Christian stuff, and do Christian things. Now BoB come along, declare that they hate Christians, and vow to destroy the Christian corp and drive their members out of Eve. They are being persecuted because of their out of game beleifs/attitudes/actions.
That is about as wrong as you can get! This is, of course, not about religion, but about people who share a similar view/attitude/interests who play together in a game. Feel free to replace the word Christian with any other word describing a social group; EG: Roleplayer, Fetishist, Snowborader, Furry, etc.
Of course when you replace Christian with the word Goon it is suddenly alright because everyone hates Goons!
BoB have decided to force us out of Eve because they do not like people who visit the Something Awful forums. This has been said outright, of course they are now backpeddling and claim to be only trying to kick us out of 0.0, but that is simply damage control on their part.
I want to know who gave them the right to dictate who is allowed to play this game, what attitudes and interests players are allowed to have, and who they are allowed to play with!
It is well known that there is a lot of hatred between Something Awful members and the Furry community. It is also known to us that there is a Furry corp in Eve. We have not declared war on them, called them*****roaches/cancer/whatever, or tried to force them out of this game. We live and let live because this is an internet spaceship game where we just want to shoot people.
PARDOY SECTION:
One BoB member threatened physical vilonece in real life to any Goonswarm pilots he could find. Since this member has not been kicked from the alliance, it means that the entire alliance shares and endorses their views. This is completely out of order on so many levels and they should all be banned, utterly destroyed, and forced to quit eve. They are not welcome in this community.
