pretty hard to find one from k-space, but there you go: New Wormhole Graphics (Z971). EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

PS edit: Excellent work on the new effects, the art team always knocks it out of the park! Would assume tidi shouldn't have an effect on it because rendering on the client rather than on the server. Not sure about that. Tidi even slows the animation of windows minimizing themselves into the Neocom

Decloaking ships of third parties pop into visibility - while their cloak effect covers the full ship at the start - which doesn't look that nice (while the cloak effect itself surely does!). It's technically not possible to achieve something like this, right? (Only showing the edge of the cloak where stuff happens and the already decloaked part of the ship, while keeping the part yet to decloak transparent) EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

The hexagons are not affected by the distance to the ship that's cloaked anyway. Just like an effect fixed to the top level of the screen being a mask applied to a cloaked object where the underlying cloakiness is an animated and semitransparent texture which replaces the standard one (set shaders to medium/low to hide the hexagons to see that one).
I panned and zoomed out/in while recoding this GIF, you'll notice there's no change to the size/position of the hexagon. EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

The new iteration of the cloak effect (sisi build 824028) disabled the underlying texture. Showing only the hexagons makes it hard to find the ship with high settings, nearly impossible with medium/low. Not intended, I guess? But the updated transition graphics look nice! What if:
The Pilot of the cloaked ship can see the animated texture from the first build (and the hexagon overlay) all the time. Third Parties never see the animated texture, only the hexagon overlay (first) and transition effect of the current build, during cloak activation/deactivation of other ships.
That way, both pilot and third parties should experience no hard visual change during the transitions. EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

Can anybody confirm that the sound heard whilst cloaked continues to play when cloak is deactivated? This also is the case for me, when I set the sliders for "Ship Ambiance" and "Atmosphere" to 0. EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

I've created a video that demonstrates the effect. And now after capturing that ... A button in the Reset Settings(or Audio) tab would be fine: Reset Advanced Audio Settings, because it's a PITA to readjust that mass of sliders Reported with EBR-23652 EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |

Noriko Mai wrote:You are right. Same happens if I try that. Another thing I noticed is, that this cloaking module sound deactivates other module sounds. After decloak my Afterburner doesn't make sounds anymore. Considering that it's the sound of an active cloaking device, that should be intended, as no other module can be active at the same time. So the bug probably keeps th cloak's sound exlusive, muting anything else.

The bug report for the cloak module sound (EBR-23652) is attached so it appears like we can expect a fix with the next sisi pach(es). EVE Infolinks -+-áOld and new-áPortraits |
