I am having trouble locating info on setting up the Flycatcher. Can someone please list a few good setups (both for PVP [solo and gang, if it makes a difference] and PVE).
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Okay, here is the setup I came up with so far... I'm not 100% happy with it, but it seems the best I can do with moderate skill levels.
High's: x6 TE-2100 Missile Launchers x1 75mm Gauss Gun (it fit) Last slot left open... only .5 power left. I still have about 18 days left to train the Sphere Launcher... then I will swap that in instead of the 75mm.
Mid's: X5 Webber J5 Warp Inhibiter b10 Cap Recharger Small Shield Booster II Afterburner II
Low Beta Hull Nanofiber
Money was tight, so I couldn't go all out. I will most likely use the ship in Gang PVP. I only have 0.5 power grid left on this setup... and I have engineering at 5.
How does this setup look? Where can I improve on it?

ok, if you fly an interdictor use t2 guns, thats the first tip. the second is that it doesnt matter how you fit your interdictor, cause it's used only to launch scram probes. for any other role it sucks.

Once you have trained Advanced Weapon Upgrades to at least LVL 4, get rid of the afterburner and swap to a T2 1MN MWD. When you drop a sphere, you want to move out of there ASAP, depending on the force you are engaging.
Also, I'm not entirely sure how useful a shield booster is on a ship that will go *pop* if you just look at it angrily. Another webber might be handier, and necessary if you are after interceptors.
And a Nanofiber? Come on, fit in a BCU or something once you have the weapon upgrades trained. -----------------------------------------------------------------

Extremely hard to do, Gaul.
A T1 BCU uses 35 cpu and the Fly at Electronics V only has 305. With the launcher taking 100 cpu, a T2 MWD taking 25 cpu and popping on missile launcers, a webber and disruptor, even with cpu requirement reduction skills you are unbelievably tight in cpu fitting. A BCU would mean major sacrifices in mid and high slots, while a nanofiber would get you out of trouble faster.
These ships pop FAST though, so you need to bug out a lot simply due to their paper thin defences. Against frigs though, they are awesome.
I typically fit:
Solo Frigate Hunting
High 6x T2 Standard Missile launchers, 2x T1 150mm Light Autocannon
Mid 1mn MWD T2, T2 Small Shield Booster, named warp disruptor, X5 Webber, T1 Sensor Booster
Low MAPC
Gang work
High 6x T2 Standard Missile Launchers, 1x Interdiction Sphere launcher
Mid 1x T2 MWD, 2x X5 Webbers, named warp disruptor, 1x T1 Sensor Booster
Low Nanofiber

High: 6x 'Arbalest' Rocket Launcher I, 1x Interdiction Sphere Launcher I, 1x 75mm 'Scout' I Accelerator Cannon
Mid: 1x 1MN MicroWarpdrive II, 1x X5 Prototype I Engine Enervator, 1x Faint Warp Prohibitor I, 1x 'Hypnos' Multispectral ECM I, 1x Medium F-S9 Regolith Shield Induction
Low: 1x Local Hull Conversion Nanofiber Structure I
With shield upgrades level 4 and AWU level 4 it fits with 0.5 cpu and 0.18 pg left :) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sounds like some good setups and advice. You guys have given me some good ideas to work off of. Thanks!
Any other comments on flying and/or outfitting the Flycatcher are still welcome!
Btw, how exactly does the sphere launcher work? Does it pull people out of warp, or does it just prevent people from warping??? Is the interdictor at the center of the 'bubble'?
Thx again!

The sphere works in a similar fashion to a mobile anchored disruptor. However, ships stop just inside the edge of the interdiction bubble so don't have far to move to get out. The graphic is actually smaller than the bubble size though, so it is hard to tell where it end.
Currently, if people are inbound to your location before you drop the bubble they are not affected by it, it has to be down before they begin warping. Also, if they select to warp before your bubble drops, they can get out, the bubble does not cancel the warp as a mid slot scrambler would do. This also allows you to hit "warp to" an object and drop the bubble while you are aligning, letting you escape and leaving whoever was there stuck in the bubble.

Thx Supay!
You said,"if people are inbound to your location before you drop the bubble they are not affected by it,"
Does this mean I go between two points (stargates) and create the sphere (bubble) and wait for people to get caught in it? How long does the sphere last for?
Thanks for answering these questions.

No the sphere needs to be in either the start or end grid of the warping ship. Placing it inbetween have no effect. The bubble lasts for 4 min. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please do but you won't see it often, I mostly use my vagabond flying alt these days. We got so many interdictor pilots as it is. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
