Just for future reference, considering (i think) our recent match was the first time this tie breaker has had to come into play - can CCP shed some light on how it's calculated? It would be nice to know for next time.
There have been rumours that doing things like overheating your guns - will increase your attack bar etc - is this true? Should all teams pre heat before a match?
Does it use the dps calculator from the ingame fitting window or another method? I ask this as the fitting window dps calculator is often wildly wrong especially with ships that don't use 5 drones.
When is it calculated? At match start? At teleportation? Does the ammo you have in matter (should we all load hail even if you want to use barrage at first?)
Does it take into account skills or assume all level 5s?
I ask for this clarification not out of bitterness (we are aware the ship has sailed in regards to our match) but in the hope that things can be clearer for teams going forward - there's a reasonable chance another golem v golem matchup could happen today for instance and certainly in future tournaments. |

Cheers for the clarification, not overly keen on this method if that's the case but then i'm prob biased - at what point is the bar measured? Might be important if you want to switch to other ammo before the match starts |

Not a bad idea - still rewards dps over tank but measured over time is surely a better way of doing it? |

Mystic, we disagree as we tested the logi frigs in a mirror extensively expecting just this situation. There's no way of knowing for sure though and every chance something else could have happened anyway as you guys are clearly a pro team, so you're right, it doesn't matter plus it would have sucked for you guys in that fight too. Im just hoping no one encounters the same thing. |
