LOL, afk'ing in something that dies easy with a lot of valuables... in such a short sentence it should be pretty clear on what end of the smart/stupid scale that action lays...

Only thing that truly does suck, is newer players, carrying all of their assets get blown up like this. It's a lesson learned, and a good lesson. It's also so painful that a lot won't bounce back, but will quit. Maybe it gets rid of the people that wouldn't cut it anyway. But people do stupid things and in virtually all other games, doing something stupid, just costs you a bit of time, it doesn't have the potential to completely wipe out everything you've worked for. And I really think that new players should be eased into the concept.
Doesn't change that it's pretty damn stupid to put all your eggs in a paper basket though...

Yeah but 100s of hours of time? That's pretty damn harsh. And there's a big difference between should and do... People that PvP a lot should understand the tracking formula... wanna take any guesses on how many don't have a clue? ( random example )
And at 20mil cost, 50+ mil makes it worth it. Not exactly newbie like assets. But doable in the first month. I definetly didn't know about suicide gankers in my first... k k I did. But lotsa people don't. ANd it's a bit hard to get info on really.

Awesome... atleast suicide ganking is within the game mechanics.... and not exploiting.
