I guess everyone forgot that at the onset of all of this, there were 5 alliances against us. And when they couldn't force us out, they figured they would just buy the system because that's what this game is all about, ISK right?
The majority of our help came at the end, put all into one massive op to try to take back the system . . and then the node crapped itself.  I'm not saying we would have necessarily won, but I do wish it had a chance to pan out. At the very least it would have been a ton of fun.

GoonFleet accidentally invades Cloud Ring, North erupts into war.
GoonFleet convoys to Empire, Empire wars break out.
GoonFleet returns to Syndicate, BoB invades.
GoonFleet enjoys their vodka, and wardecs half of EVE.
We're all laughing our asses off right now, because we really don't take EVE seriously. We're here to have fun, as it should be with any game. We Goons are having an absolute blast right now preparing for all the fighting and stuff that is going to go wild. We've shaped EVE into the game we want to play, and while all these alliances are like "goodbye" and "wow, goons are screwed" WE declared war. Why: because we want to have fun the only way we can get one of these old-horse alliances to have any fun is to **** them off where they come and invade.
Lots of people have wardec'd us in the past, proclaiming "the end of GoonSwarm". Let me ask a question: where are they now?
The only thing left we have to do is wardec the Gallente Empire, because all the other ones are *** anyways.

It's actually GS vs BoB and a few has-been alliances.
BoB is the uber-guild of Eve, no one thinks we can take them down, or that fighting them will be a walk in the park. In fact, contrary to what a lot of GS members have posted I'd hazard a guess that there's a lot of us that still have a lot of respect for BoB, including me.
However, the combined forces of D2, RISE, IRON, RAZOR, STV, and anyone else couldn't kick Goonswarm and friends (a group of guys with very few dreads) out of a region they've held forever. They had to buy it out from under us, meanwhile attempting to sell out some of their allies to end the war faster. D2 and friends are a paper tiger, and if the rest of Eve had one sack between the lot of them they'd roll over D2 and take their space they're so obviously incapable of adequately defending. Problem is, when someone at war with a major power sees the major power go after someone else they don't think "hey opportunity to invade" they think "Oh God now I can carebear" and everyone sits in their quiet little area of space, and maybe sends a ganksquad or two.
GS gave you what you always wish for but are too afraid to start yourselves. War.
The one man you think destroyed GS has infact opened our eyes to the fact that we're not like every other Corp in the game. We're now starting to act like it. You guys might want to try it, it's pretty damned fun.

Am I to understand that due to CONCORD rules Dusk and Dawk and Band of Brothers, for example, which are currently alliances at odds with each other will be unable to fight in Empire. However both of these alliances will be able to fight against Goonswarm in Empire. Thus Goonswarm have united all their foes against them, and now face their combined wrath in empire.
Do Goonswarm intend to field fleets in core systems? Do BoB, RISE, D2, Razor and IRON intend to respond to these fleets?
As seen in deep space capsule pilots information links to their ships are degraded when there are large scale operations in place. Will we see the same degredation in core systems like Jita?
